[Western Crossover] Savior Simulator

[This story is complete! Thank you to everyone who supports the official release!] [Coming soon: Western Crossover: Building a Cult in Gotham. Batman pairing / slight Clark Kent pairing / occult-mystery vibes. Check out my author page! The blurb is at the very end.] ######## Blurb: The survival game Hunger and the superhero game Injustice have teamed up to launch a new mode called Savior Simulator. The game's gimmick is corrupted superheroes, and its main quest is to save the world. As Adonis settled into the full-dive pod, he looked at his stats panel: [Health 300+ / Hunger 100 / Sanity 100], along with his title, [Bartender], and asked the question weighing on his soul: Isn't there something wrong with making a [Bartender] with such messed-up stats into a savior? Low hunger means you'll get hungry and start losing health; Low sanity means you might go mad or have a mental breakdown; Health is decent: you can survive a hit from Superman (♂). Adonis: ??? Imprisoned by the corrupted Iron Man from the start, he escapes and successfully makes contact with the resistance. Everyone hints that Adonis was once in a relationship with the god of mankind. After a while, Adonis falls into deep thought. [Warm, sunny Clark] [Furious Black Superman] [Scheming White Superman] Uh... th-three of them? ### A reminder from your game assistant: You have added the [Resurrection] mod. Also, remember to make good use of [The Invitation from the Past]. [Before You Read: 1. The timeline is a mess. 2. The worldlines are a mess. 3. This is my take on Superman. If he's out of character, that's on me. 4. This isn't a power fantasy. He only manages to save the world later on. 5. Don't immediately say it resembles this or that, okay? Have these classic corrupted-superhero tropes all been monopolized? 6. I crossed this over with Don't Starve, but only borrowed some basic elements. The stats panel and the setting that your body turns to bones after death are retained; most of the rest is made up. If you came for Don't Starve, you might want to leave. orz Coming soon: [Western Crossover] Building a Cult in Gotham [Western Crossover + secret identities + classic mistaken-identity tropes. The protagonist's true self belongs to the Cult of the Grail.] When Bruce was five, the Waynes brought home a baby in a swaddling blanket. "From now on, he'll be your little brother." Later, gunshots rang out, and shell casings hit the ground. Bruce watched with his own eyes as his brother became a pool of crimson blood and devoured the killer. The waterspouts on the rooftops whisper strange rumors, while frenzied murmurs come from the abandoned warehouses by the river; at the end of the riddles lies a mole's warning, and crimson appetites lurk in the Iceberg Lounge. A strange force has thrown Gotham into chaos. Commissioner Gordon believes the new organization known as the Blood Chalice Cult is behind it. "The cult's leader is addressed as the [Supreme Mentor]. Its keywords are [Desire], [Temptation], and [Pain]," Gordon says. "Sounds like a dangerous person." Batman thinks of the young man who clung to him before he left on his journey, and of those several chaotic nights. Yulian Wayne is undoubtedly a quiet, well-behaved boy. But he suspects that a dangerous personality resides within Yulian. Yulian Wayne, whose act is so convincing that people mistake him for having a "split personality," stares at his dark green desktop and sinks into thought. This desktop can help him establish a cult, obtain occult knowledge, recruit followers, and acquire character cards. And... temporarily restore his health. But under the influence of the Blood Chalice, he seems to have developed a bit of skin hunger. He longs for Bruce's touch, embrace, and gaze... All right, maybe he longs for everything. The black-haired young man's throat grows dry, and his skin begins to burn. Unfortunately, he seems to have frightened Bruce when he was eighteen. Now he can only touch Bruce without restraint when he's acting as the "Mentor." Tsk. But there's an irritating bat who keeps ruining things for him. He doesn't know why Bruce is sponsoring him. ### Before You Read: 1. Yulian's origins are tied to the Blood Chalice, and by nature he likes to ____. 2. Classic mistaken-identity tropes. You might see Batman x Wayne, Batman x Mentor, Batman x Yulian, Wayne x Yulian, Mentor x Yulian, and many other love triangles. 3. Character cards generate usable secret identities; the split personality is a misunderstanding. Yulian can be a well-behaved boy during the day, but the existence of villainous secret identities like the "Mentor" gives him an outlet for his pent-up feelings. 4. Yulian's moral boundaries are flexible. He hasn't eaten those old fossils at the company for two reasons: first, he's afraid they'd taste dirty; second, Bruce and Alfred raised him well. Theme: Make sure to live well!
