Thank you to everyone supporting the official version! [Check out my older novel, Does Qingcheng’s Chuunibyou Need to Play Volleyball Too? Starting a new novel this summer: [Volleyball/Wind Breaker] A Tsundere Cow-Print Cat, But at Nekoma My friend’s upcoming novel: Daily Life at Fukurodani, Where Everyone Leaves You on Read by Jiang Huai Narrator is the narrator of an anime called Haikyu!!. Before starting the job, he diligently memorized the character profiles and lines. After starting, he discovered that the anime barely had any narration. All the commentary was done by players, coaches, and spectators from the opposing teams who came to watch the matches. Narrator couldn’t meet his performance targets. He received a warning that he might lose his job, and had nowhere to go. He was pitiful and lost. The Plane Management Bureau had no choice but to arrange for him to join the story. “How about... narrowing down the scope of your work? Pick a specific team to commentate on. You can play some volleyball on the side too.” “Exercise is good for your physical and mental health.” Inarizaki got a new player who looked very well-behaved. He had delicate, adorable features and a cute personality, but when he spiked the ball, he was practically a cannon. At the very least, he was Ushijima-level. He was just a little slow on the uptake, lacked common sense, and had a strange hobby: Adding narration and commentary to whatever was going on. After he officially joined the team, this became Inarizaki’s regular daily entertainment: [The Miya twins roll around on the floor, wrestling] “You idiot! I had so many puddings! There was a whole fridge full!” “You jerk... Let go of me first!” [Narrator comments] “This episode is titled ‘The Missing Pudding.’ As we can see, Inarizaki’s genius setter, Atsumu Miya, and his spiker brother, Osamu Miya, are fighting over the puddings that have disappeared from the fridge...” [Aran teases him] “You guys are ridiculous... Neri, you really sound like a narrator from a news report.” [Suna takes photos from every angle, phone in hand] Everyone else: ... Well, now they have [news footage], [narration], [commentary], and a [war correspondent]. Why don’t we just start a live news channel? It’ll definitely be a hit! The Miya twins were so embarrassed and angry they lashed out. “Neri! Aran! Both of you shut up!” Aran kept laughing. “Hahahaha.” Narrator looked guilty. “Sorry, it’s my job...” The Miya twins: ... Damn it, Neri looks so pure and innocent! Now it makes them look like they’re picking on him! Please note before reading: 1. Cute everyday life + passionate sports competition 2. Atsumu is the CP. Romance is a small part of the story, with no other CPs. 3. Easter eggs from other sports anime may appear at random. 4. This is a long novel. To avoid finding out later that it’s not to your taste, please subscribe chapter by chapter rather than buying the whole thing at once. Now, check out my upcoming novel: Does the Blue Lock Special Effects Guy Have to Play Volleyball Too? Special Effects Guy is a senior employee at the Plane Management Bureau. His job is to add flashy effects to anime characters and make anime more entertaining. His notable works include Kuroko’s Basketball and Blue Lock. After the first season of Blue Lock ended, Special Effects Guy finally got a long-awaited vacation. But barely halfway through his vacation, he received a notice from his superiors: “Plans have changed. Your vacation is over early. The volleyball production needs a special effects artist.” Special Effects Guy: “Huh?!” The boss sighed. “Anime is getting more and more flashy these days. To keep up with the times, we’ve decided to try something bold: we’re sending you to the Haikyu!! set.” “Oh, and you’ll be going as a student.” Special Effects Guy: “Huh?!!” You’ve got to be kidding! He’d been a corporate drone for so many years, and now they wanted to send him back to school?! And he didn’t know the first thing about volleyball! The only ball sports he knew were basketball and soccer! A strange new recruit joined Fukurodani’s volleyball team at the start of the new school year. He was handsome, with sharp features, and the black hair over his forehead was dyed dark blue. He had both a lip ring and earrings. But every day, he looked listless, as if he resented the whole world. When asked what position he was good at, he answered: “I don’t know how to play volleyball at all.” “But I know a thing or two about basketball and soccer.” Akiyoshi Konoha: “...This guy’s a troublemaker, right? He’s definitely a troublemaker!” Kotaro Bokuto: “Ohhhh! So you’re going to use techniques from other ball sports to play volleyball? That sounds super interesting!” All right, all right. He wasn’t good with his hands, but being great with his feet was fine too. The Fukurodani players reluctantly accepted the new recruit. But when he made a sliding tackle to save the ball on the court, leaving a trail of sparks and lightning behind him, the Fukurodani players were left speechless: ??? Seriously, dude??? Are all of you guys who transferred from the soccer team like this? Why do you have special effects when you play?! ### Please note before reading ### 1. It hasn’t been decided which school he’ll attend. It’ll be one of Itachiyama, Shiratorizawa, or Fukurodani. For now, it’s Fukurodani. Theme: Lovely people, lovely things, and a lovely life
