How to ask us to take something down if you hold the rights to it.

What DaoSearch shows

DaoSearch is an index. It shows a book's title, author, cover, synopsis, figures and reader comments as its source platform publishes them, with a machine translation beside the Chinese, and links to that platform. No chapter text is hosted here.

Sending a notice

If you own the rights to something shown here, or act for someone who does, email us. Include the DaoSearch link of each page, what you want removed (a cover, a synopsis, a comment or the whole listing), the work it belongs to, how to reach you, and a statement that you hold the rights or are authorised to act for whoever does and that the notice is accurate.

What happens next

A person reads every notice. We remove what it covers, usually within two working days, and reply to say it's done. If the same material reappears from the source, tell us and we keep it off. If a notice is unclear, we write back and ask rather than guess.

If you think we removed something by mistake

Email us with the link and why you think it should stay up. We'll look again and tell you what we decided.
