He later further proposed the slogan of "literature of blood and tears" and required progressive writers to create "red works with blood and tears." Therefore, he adhered to the revolutionary realist literary theory throughout his life, emphasized the function of literature in social reform, and advocated literature to serve the people. In terms of literary research, in the early 1920s, Zheng Zhenduo advocated and engaged in comprehensive comparative research on Chinese and foreign ancient and modern literature. He also always attached importance to the collection and research of folk literature, novels, and operas, and did a lot of pioneering work.

In May 1925, at about three o'clock one afternoon, a twenty-six-year-old man was walking on Ma Shen Shen Street in Beijing, looking a little impatient, and walked into the aisle of Peking University. He was wearing an unfashionable navy blue suit, and it was very old. It looked as if he had bought it from a junkyard in Tianqiao. He is of medium build and strong. Walking takes a lot of effort and is fast. The pair of wide black leather boots squeaked one after another, and the soles of the boots turned up the dry soil unique to Beijing. When he reached the third house in this narrow alley, he stepped across the threshold of the Datong Apartment and turned around to the large courtyard on the left.

Literary works are an art that uses language as a means to shape images to reflect social life and express the author's thoughts and feelings. They are a mirror for us and have a subtle and profound enlightenment effect on our lives. They can broaden our horizons, increase our knowledge, and cultivate our sentiments. Literary masters are the pioneers of an era and masters of various literary forms. Their works originate from the era in which they lived, record the microcosm of social life in that era, contain the writer's own experience and thinking about society and life, influence the development process of society, and have eternal charm. They are the engineers of our soul, able to guide our life development and give us spiritual nourishment like chicken soup. This is just as Tagore said when talking about the relationship between literature and the future of our humanity: "Use literature to ignite the lights of thousands of families in the future."

This book is a collection of his short stories. Reading his works, we can see all the pictures of the ignorant, backward, barbaric and murderous social life in old China. The value of these works is that they sharply raise and expose serious problems in a deformed society, and provide a true portrayal of the deformed aspects of old China. Some reflect the cruel exploitation and bloody suppression of the Chinese people by imperialism and feudalism; some reveal the poison of the feudal patriarchal system on people's minds; some reveal the degeneration of "national character" under the rule of imperialism and feudalism; and some write about social deformities from the abnormal psychology of sick people, etc.

香港文学大系1919-1949(小说卷二)
Editor-in-chief Huang Nianxin
This volume collects novels serialized in Hong Kong newspapers and published in books from 1942 to 1949, including a total of thirteen works by eleven writers including Lun Lun, Huang Guliu, Sima Wensen, Chen Canyun, Dai Wangshu, and Mao Dun. During this period, Hong Kong literature experienced the turbulence of the war period, the restrictions of the occupation period, the ideological disputes between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China, and the expectations of the new era. In addition to the existing realistic or epitome of the political environment, there are also traces of literature reflecting the people's livelihood under the cracks of the times. In addition to possessing a certain artistic level, the selected works generally reflect the flow and intersection of northern and southern literati in newspapers and periodicals at that time. Therefore, the author's identity is not limited to "Hong Kong writers" who were born and raised in Hong Kong or have stayed in Hong Kong for a long time. There are also contributions from writers who come and go intermittently or short-term transit. The content is not limited to the various aspects of life that took place in Hong Kong, but also includes the records, nostalgia and imagination of literati from the south about the mainland and even the Nanyang region through novels.

This book is the novel in which Dazai Osamu spent a long time collecting materials, considering the structure, and studied the most based on Lu Xun when he was a student at Sendai Medical College. It had a subtle influence on "Disqualification in the World". Osamu Dazai got rid of the decadence in the early stage of creation and created a transparent and warm world with tranquility and sincerity. However, as this effort was unfortunately shattered, it finally inevitably led to panic and despair, which eventually evolved into the tragic ending of "Aye" in "The Human Disqualification". The book does not pursue a detailed account of Lu Xun's experience studying in Japan. It focuses on showing a young man's journey through loneliness and confusion in pursuit of his ideals and finding the correct value and direction of life. It entrusts Dazai Osamu's expectations for freedom and happiness, and encourages young people to bid farewell to the gloomy life of the past and meet the beauty of the future through their own efforts.

"Weird Tales" is the latest collection of novels by Olga Tokarczuk, the 2018 Nobel Prize winner for literature (awarded in 2019). The collection of novels is composed of ten stories: the green child in the forest, the various cans left behind by the mother after her death, the professor who was accidentally involved in a death case, "I" went to visit my sister who had undergone transfiguration surgery, the mysterious mummy in the monastery, and Monodice who resurrected after death every year... Each story is weird and absurd. It is difficult for you to guess what will happen on the next page, but under the weirdness there seems to be clues of human life hidden. The novel collection combines folklore, fairy tales, science fiction, religious stories and other elements to examine Polish history and people's lives. One year after the collection of novels was published, Tokarczuk won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
