About This Novel
Chekhov is a world-class master of short stories in Russia and the last critical realist art master in Russia in the late 19th century. Together with the French writer Maupassant and the American writer O. Henry, he is known as one of the "three major short story writers in the world". This collection collects 3 short stories. They are all masterpieces by Chekhov, among which "The Man in the Trap" is the author's famous short story. The protagonist wears galoshes and carries an umbrella even on sunny days. "Condom" symbolizes all the shackles that bind people. "Sergeant Plishbeev" satirizes the evil forces that oppress the people.
