I Became a Random Nobody in Detective Conan

[New novel: Will Sukuna Become a Love-Struck Fool? Now open, blurb below] Blurb: While eating at a restaurant, Ueno Akimi suddenly saw a scene flash through his mind. In it, he was standing among several masked men, a gun pointed at his forehead. After negotiations with the police failed, he became the first hostage to be killed. Ueno Akimi: ...? A voice told him he was a bit character in some science-themed anime, destined to be caught up in all kinds of shootings, explosions, kidnappings, and criminal cases at any moment. In fifteen minutes, he would die at the hands of the robbers. There was only one way to survive: join the anime's main plot, get some memorable moments, and become a popular character. To stay alive, Ueno Akimi went home and immediately changed his intended major to the police academy, hoping his future self would be able to take on ten people at once. Join the main plot? Yeah, right. Who would willingly do something that exhausting? Among this year's police academy freshmen, one person stood out in particular. He always wore a miserable expression, would lie down rather than sit whenever possible, and the second anyone called for a break during training, he'd collapse on the spot. Everyone wondered how someone like him had passed the physical exam. Then, at the end-of-month test, he came in first by a single point. A new character in the police academy spin-off sparked heated discussion on a manga forum. [Akimi really makes me laugh. He's been enrolled for half a year and still can't remember what his classmates look like.] [Zero, who lost first place by one point: I'll beat you next time! Miserable Akimi: ...Huh? Oh, okay. Sorry, who are you?] [Going by this plot, will Akimi join the five-man team and become their sixth member when they enter the Metropolitan Police Department?] [Akimi: Keep your distance.] [The five-man team thinks they've been through life and death together so many times that they're already friends with Akimi. Meanwhile, Akimi is thinking: ...Who is this guy again? What's the name of the one next to him? Why is that blond glaring at me again? Ugh, what a pain.] [Damn, I can picture it.] Ueno Akimi, who had flat-out rejected the main plot, had no idea he was gradually leaving his bit-character status behind. During his time at the academy, he never wasted a shred of energy outside of training. During one mission, he unexpectedly went undercover in an underground organization, and stayed there for years?? One day, he received a special order: investigate whether a missing high school detective was still alive. Ueno Akimi, who had only remembered the protagonist's name from the entire story, stared silently at the report about a guy called Washing Machine. Reader's Notes: 1. A native of the Conan world, firmly on the good side and never switching allegiance. 2. The early chapters lean toward everyday life. 3. The Organization gets put through the wringer. 4. The pairing is set. 5. Anti-piracy measures are in place. Readers whose purchase ratio is too low will have to wait a few days to read. 6. Some OOC is inevitable in fanfiction. The characters belong to the original author; any OOC and bugs are mine. I hope everyone enjoys reading. New novel now open: Will Sukuna Become a Love-Struck Fool? Blurb: Sukuna found a beautiful bird. Fragile, beautiful, and in a wretched state, it crawled humbly at his feet, begging him not to abandon it. On a whim, he decided to keep it by his side. The bird was docile and obedient, taking care of all the little things around him. It was always whispering sweet nothings, softly saying it would die without him. Gradually, he fell under its spell, even coming to see it as his wife. Until one day. The weak, timid wife in his eyes killed him with her own hands. * Tsukimi Ren, heir to the Tsukimi family and a prodigy since childhood, was suddenly cursed. He spent three years bedridden, hovering at death's door. To survive, he used a family secret art to reverse time and return to the past, doing whatever it took to find a sliver of hope. A thousand years ago, during the Heian period, humans and demons lived side by side, while monsters and spirits ran rampant. To make it safely to Kyoto, he had no choice but to seek protection from a powerful figure. He didn't care if that person was a monster rather than a human. He simply hadn't expected the monster to see him as its wife. Even less did he expect that the way to break the curse he'd been searching for was in the monster's possession. He could only survive by killing him. * After painstakingly scheming and lying low, Tsukimi Ren successfully broke the curse and returned to the future. He thought he would never see that person again, but then That man not only crawled out of hell, but also managed to find his home. Tsukimi Ren was brought into a domain filled with blades. The god of demons sat upon a throne of bones, looking down at him with a calm expression. “Explain.” Hearing this, Tsukimi Ren, who thought he was done for, immediately reddened his eyes and began to act pitiful. Reader's Notes: 1. A very OOC, two-person romantic comedy (So the big guy's already dating, huh?) 2. Lots of headcanons. 3. Under 300,000 words in total. 4. A gorgeous liar with a silver tongue, able to bend without breaking. Two villains together. Theme: Face adversity head-on and push through every obstacle.
