I have a pair of Shinigami Eyes that work intermittently. They let me see people’s time of death and their real names. I’ve relied on my talent and my adoptive mother’s favoritism to get by in the organization and stay alive. I’d decided to coast, freeload off the organization’s budget, and wait to die… Then my unlucky boss called me in and gave me a task: provide backup for some of the organization’s new recruits from the past few years. It told me that in fifteen years, time in this world would fall into disorder and grind to a halt. I was the chosen Shinigami’s proxy. We had to change everything in the original timeline and do our best to help the world escape the flow of time! To that end, the System also gave me a skill to save my life: once bound, it would let me briefly rewind time and save myself whenever my life was in danger.
