Don't Treat Scotland as a Substitute

/New novel: Snow Is Said to Fall in Nagano Tonight, still featuring the Morofushi brothers. The main story is complete./ /I'm drafting the entire novel Secret Identity Awakens in the World of Detective Conan./ /Gearing up for Morofushi brothers x Bad Woman 2.0. This time, no toxic drama, just pure romance. If you're interested, check out my series page for I'm a Real Booze, and I Raised My Ex-Boyfriend's Little Brother./ When Hiromitsu first met Cherry Brandy, she asked him if he wanted to be her lover. To ensure his undercover mission went smoothly, Hiromitsu swallowed his pride and agreed. Little did he know that while they were getting close, he would hear his own brother's name from her lips. That's when he realized that, in the bad woman's eyes, he was a stand-in for his brother back in Nagano. The undercover agent, caught in a tangle of emotions, couldn't help asking what exactly had happened between her and his brother. But the young woman pressed close to his ear and asked in a lingering, breathy voice, “Why are you angry? Aren't you with me for the sake of the mission?” “You're using me as a stepping-stone, and I'm using you as a substitute. That's fair, isn't it?” * Yes, if it were all a lie, it would be fair. But he loved her. [Reading Agreement] (By reading the main story, you agree that you have read and accepted this agreement.) #0 Daily updates, usually between 9 p.m. and midnight. Revisions may be made at other times. #1 An old-school, melodramatic style. The blurb is for reference only. #2 The pairing is Hiromitsu. His brother is her ex. This is not a typical love triangle. #3 The female lead is reincarnated as a liquor. She's on the gray side, leaning toward black, and keeps wavering between chaotic evil and lawful evil. #4 There are both heartbreak and sweetness, as well as some very twisted elements. The story is unkind to all the characters. #5 Includes parallel universes, conflict between humans and gods, mechanical modifications, and more. Lots of original worldbuilding, subjective claims, and deus ex machina. #6 The romance-to-plot ratio is about 7:3. This isn't a story about a powerful female lead. I want to write a romance, so there will be a little bit of a love-addled brain. #7 There is a side plot, and Shinichi and Sonoko won't end up together. A self-indulgent work, with all my kinks on full display. If you feel uncomfortable while reading, run! Theme: No matter how many times you tell a lie, it won't become true. Sincere feelings require honesty.
