[Football] Portugal’s Beautiful Legend Belongs to the Son of God

[Completed October 22, 2023. If you’ve bought the whole story, my dear readers, could you leave me a glowing five-star review?]

I may revise the story from time to time! (As I learn more, I’ll make many changes and corrections to the plot. Jinjiang is the only legitimate platform!)

[Synopsis]

C. Ronaldo, the undisputed king of the Bernabeu, brought his legendary life to a sudden end amid the roaring crowds of the stadium.

Just like the man himself, he had appeared out of nowhere and impossibly left the world of football in his dust. His death drained the last of the madness from a golden age. At that final funeral of the century, everyone who loved him and everyone who hated him finally understood, utterly and completely: the king had left them.

But no one knew that, in another Lisbon of twenty years earlier, a boy from Madeira opened his eyes. His young body held the powerful soul of a god of the Champions League.

I came, I saw, I conquered.

No one knew he had once had a male lover. They only knew that this defiant legend had unexpectedly prepared a double tomb for himself.

It was not until ten years after Cristiano’s death that Kaka, the once-dazzling Brazilian golden boy, died in a car accident and was laid to rest beside Cristiano.

The world was stunned.

Content notes:

① Both are reborn. ② Kaka is the top, C is the bottom; the story is mainly told from C’s perspective. ③ Cristiano is adored by everyone. ④ Happy ending.

⑤ Two powerful leads, with a realistic feel. After being reborn, both Kaka and Ronaldo will reach their peak, with no injury issues. There is a little bit of a System, and the story aims for an idealized realism. + (Real-world background, entirely OOC; the football timeline is all over the place. I’ll include whatever I need, so don’t scrutinize the details!!)

This is purely self-indulgent writing. If you came looking for a competitive sports story, bring your own warning label. There are too many bugs to fix, so no pressure if you can’t read it. Let’s both have fun and follow the basic rules of fanfiction √ I’m a total football novice who got into it through the World Cup, and I’m working hard to catch up. Sisters in the comments, please help me spot and correct mistakes~

In short, it’s pure, brainless fluff and indulgent wish fulfillment! Everyone adores little Cristiano!!

The main idea of this story is: Cristiano happy >>> world happy

(P.S. I started writing this purely because I got carried away shipping this couple. I’ll always be swept away by genuine feelings. I researched both of them, so most of the character interactions and jokes in this story are based on things that can be verified in real life. Rather than saying the story makes him everyone’s darling, it’s more like the whole world kisses Cristiano, and the fanfiction world just makes it a little more utopian. If that bothers you, there’s no need to tell me.)
