A Player Arrives in 1950S Hollywood

The Hollywood Golden Age is now in its early twilight, and the film industry is on the brink of great change. Sound films and color films have already taken off, and the studio system is beginning to crumble. You inherit a film studio on the verge of bankruptcy. Facing the Big Eight, your goal is... [A. Take it one step at a time and become the Ninth Major Studio to go down in history!] [B. If you’re going to do it, be the best! Punch MGM, kick Paramount, and leave Universal, Warner Bros., and Disney in the dust!] [C. Strike while they’re down, acquire the Big Eight, and become the one and only overlord. Make Hollywood Great Again!] As the studio president, you look at the $100,000 in the accounts, just enough to make one B movie, and a bunch of employees who have already started looking for new jobs behind your back. You fall into deep thought. No stars? No problem. Who doesn’t know the famous stars of the future in this era? First, Marilyn Monroe is definitely mine... Huh? She’s already signed with someone? Whatever, I’ll poach her! If I don’t have money, I’ll win her over with sincerity! Running out of money? Then we’ll start with the cheap options! What do you mean, their background is an issue? Just call them in and get them working... Wait, why is the FBI here too? How was I supposed to know the director was a leftist? Show me a miracle, my dice! Let’s roll for a critical success on Persuasion! Note: 1. This blurb was archived on 2025-12-25. 2. A management-themed fourth calamity. 3. More details to come. Theme: Keep your feet on the ground and work hard to make money.
