Entangled with Detectives Every Day

During her first week after moving to Beika Town, strange sensations of being watched, a fleeting shadow in the mirror, and a door silently closing in the middle of the night... Everything was telling Ito Fuzuki that she might have gotten herself a real ghost. Just as she was carefully weighing whether to use traditional exorcism, scientific ghost removal, or simply blame Nozaki, the culprit, Ito Fuzuki suddenly realized that the ghost seemed more interested in the handsome, dark-skinned waiter at the café downstairs than in her... Her self-esteem took a bit of a hit, but good job! Please go bother that dark-skinned guy from now on! Tooru, working hard at his job: Why has Miss Ito been giving me strange looks lately? Hikaru, who found himself inexplicably in someone else's home when he opened his eyes after dying: Girls these days are so careless. She forgot to lock the door in the middle of the night. Good thing I noticed and closed it for her... Ito Fuzuki: I didn't forget to lock the door! I left that escape route open especially in case of you! During her second week after moving to Beika Town, did Ito Fuzuki successfully exorcise the ghost? No. She was forced to get used to him and simply became his roommate. And the dark-skinned guy downstairs... I mean, Mr. Amuro, kept asking about her cooking secrets. He said the food tasted great and that he was planning to come over and learn from her. Ito Fuzuki felt conflicted. It seemed that the ghost living in her home really was a great cook. He must have been a chef somewhere before he died! Despite repeatedly turning him down, Mr. Amuro seemed to think it was a test before she took him on as a student. He grew increasingly close to her, and kept bringing her food more and more often. Ito Fuzuki really wanted to tell him, Stop complimenting me, stop! The real chef is standing right next to you. I don't deserve the praise! During her third week after moving to Beika Town, the ghost problem was completely resolved. If you don't treat him like a problem, then there's no problem. Ito Fuzuki could confidently say that they were practically family now! The only problem was Mr. Amuro downstairs. He kept watching his surroundings so strangely that he even tried to talk to the air in secret. But Ito Fuzuki had no time to worry about Mr. Amuro. Ever since moving to Beika, she'd realized that her biggest problem was how unlucky she was. Held hostage when she went out, kidnapped at home. Living next to the great detective Kogoro Mouri hadn't brought her convenience. It had brought her bad luck. In less than a month, she'd gotten to know everyone from the investigation division to the bomb squad. Even the grumpiest bomb disposal expert at the Metropolitan Police Department felt as familiar as family. "Why do criminals keep targeting you?!" "Don't say that. Fuzuki must be pretty troubled by it too. It's really worrying at this rate. Why don't you visit a shrine and pray for good fortune? I know one that's very effective!" "Huh? You've already arranged to go with Mr. Amuro from the Poirot Café?" "It's not right to keep bothering him. We... we'll go with you instead." After seeing off the two helpful officers, Ito Fuzuki couldn't help sighing. "Beika Town may have a high crime rate, but the people here sure are friendly..." Hikaru, who had stayed quiet because nobody could hear him even when he spoke, gave her a weary look that said he saw right through everything. "You..." "Mm?" "You're right. Keep it up." #About How a Ghost and I Became Family (Not Really)# #Miss Fuzuki, Criminal Magnet# #The Simple, Honest Folk of Beika Town# #If All Else Fails, Let's Find a Cell to Share.jpg# Theme: Verify things carefully, and separate fact from fiction.
