【Previews for The Straight-Laced Office Worker and the Tentacle Who Became His Partner and The Hero Hypnotized by the Demon Lord are at the very end】
After Fushiguro Sumire died, she discovered that she had come back to life. She was no longer human, and soft tentacles had grown from her body.
She had become... a monster.
Her life had been a mix of misfortune and a little luck. Her marriage had failed, but her daughter stayed with her, and her family had a little money, so she had no trouble getting by. She hadn’t planned to marry again, but then she met a man willing to marry into her family, and gave birth to another child.
The siblings got along very well. They were obedient and sweet, and though her husband had been unemployed at first, he soon got his life on track.
But a few years later, she died of an illness.
Fushiguro Sumire looked at her semitransparent tentacles and the hazy, fragmentary memories in her mind.
She watched her husband, who had finally gotten his life on track, fall back into depravity, despair, and a life without dignity after her death.
This wouldn’t do.
She had to do something.
Whatever it took, she had to get him back on his feet.
She looked at her tentacled monster body and fell into deep thought.
As she tried to help, Fushiguro Sumire discovered that her husband actually came from quite a powerful background. His life was nothing like hers: it was a modern urban fantasy story.
Well, all right...
Becoming a top assassin who hunted curses and fought curse users involved in urban crime was a positive step, too.
She’d just think of him as Batman. Who doesn’t like Batman?
Then Fushiguro Sumire saw her husband accept a job to assassinate a young student.
Fushiguro: “...”
That’s a person! What about Tsumiki and Megumi’s background checks if you do this?
She reached out with her tentacles, clung to him, and did everything she could to stop this from happening.
She clung to the wrong place, but at least she finally stopped her husband.
Toji knew that the dead could not come back to life.
His wife had probably become a monster.
But when he heard her voice again, his heart softened all the same.
His wife... didn’t seem to be a curse.
His wife’s lingering attachment seemed to be that he should keep living well.
Would she still exist after that attachment faded?
Fushiguro tried for a long time, sweet-talking and humiliating him with all her might. She ate so much every day that she’d regained a human shape, but her husband still lazed around by her side.
Then there was only one last resort.
“Let’s have three kids in our next life, Toji.”
The man wrapped in her tentacles let her fondle his chest, as if he hadn’t heard her. “What?”
“I said I want three kids in our next life.” His wife looked sweet and bashful. “You’ll give birth to them.”
*Details of the fanfiction setting are in the author’s note for Chapter One, meow.
*Both BG and GB romance.
A wife is a wife... Even if your wife turns into a tentacle monster, she’s still your wife...
Preview: The Hero Hypnotized by the Demon Lord
Arian was the protagonist of the game, the savior chosen by “Fate,” and the hero praised by everyone. At eighteen, he was already invincible.
He would overcome every obstacle, defeat the strongest of the villains, the Demon Lord, and achieve a happy ending by saving the world.
But the player got bored of steamrolling everything with cheats and quit halfway through.
From then on, Arian had a mind of his own.
He followed the player’s route for two years, utterly bewildered.
Then he ran into the Demon Lord in the forest.
He pretended to fall under the Demon Lord’s control spell and found that it wasn’t so bad.
If he didn’t feel like fighting, he could just act cute. If he couldn’t sleep in the Demon Lord’s castle, he could make a fuss. If he was bored, he could go pester the Demon Lord.
The Demon Lord thought he was nothing like the hero described in the rumors, and worried that he might not be under the spell at all.
He ordered, “Show me your loyalty.”
“How am I supposed to follow such a vague order?” The beautiful hero nestled beside him, his bare feet on the carpet as he rested his chin in his hand and looked at him. “Be more specific, please.”
For once, the Demon Lord was clever. He said gloomily, “You wouldn’t listen even if I told you.”
But the hero opened his shirt, pressed the Demon Lord’s hand to his chest, and breathed softly. “Can you feel how loyal I am?”
A few years after the hero went missing,
the dark-skinned, busty Demon Lord, tall and crowned with a pair of horns, stood at the entrance to humanity’s stronghold with an arm around the hero’s waist. “Your hero has fallen under my control spell!”
Arian: “...” This is so embarrassing.
He had wanted to clear things up, but his teammates looked horrified. Someone said, “Oh no, I knew we shouldn’t have lowered his mental resistance!”
Arian lowered his eyes, looking meek and pitiful, and turned to the Demon Lord. “Honey, they’re bullying me. Can I kill them all?”
Demon Lord: “...” Isn’t that a bit extreme?
And so, the whole world learned that the hero had fallen to darkness.
The Demon Lord still let the hero go.
The hero’s first half of life had been so dramatic that the Demon Lord’s conscience kicked in. He didn’t want to defile someone else’s unattainable beloved.
The main reason was that he just couldn’t keep up at night.
He heard that the hero was now revered and adored by the world, and the Demon Lord was pleased as he spied on him.
Then everything went black.
When he woke up, he had been dragged back to the Demon Lord’s castle. The hero sat on his throne, idly tugging at the silver chains around him with a sword.
The doors were locked. The world was silent.
“Has your husband lost interest in me?”
“You’ve got two of them, and they’re going to waste.” The hero’s voice was plaintive, but his eyes were cold. “Then I’ll take the lead.”
The Straight-Laced Office Worker and the Tentacle Who Became His Partner
Kong Tong was straight, had never dated, and had just graduated. He was the most ordinary office worker imaginable.
One day, he received a notice from the “Alien Immigration Bureau.” The matchmaking preference form he’d filled out in the past had finally yielded a result: he had been assigned a partner.
That meant he was going to have a wife.
His partner’s profile arrived. In red letters, it read:
【Species: Dodder】
【Sex: Male】
【Marital status: Widowed】
He knew it. Something as good as a wife falling from the sky would never happen to him.
He was hesitating over whether to turn it down when he met his match for the first time: long, straight black hair, pretty and delicate, with sorrowful eyes that watched him timidly.
Apart from the gender, species, and previous marriage, this was practically the wife of his dreams.
His match was humble and pitiful. “If I can’t find someone to marry, they’ll deport me...” He was almost in tears.
Kong Tong: “...” He couldn’t bring himself to say no.
After their whirlwind wedding, he went to meet his friends. They were astonished. “You actually dared to marry him?”
Kong Tong thought miserably,
But his wife’s previous husband had died of an illness, not because his wife had killed him. His wife was beautiful enough to be a celebrity, yet was willing to stay home as a full-time hus... husband. He looked so fragile you’d think he’d break at a touch, was clingy and sweet, and cried if he woke from a nightmare and couldn’t find Kong Tong.
How could his wife possibly live without him?
After the gathering, his wife came to pick him up. Dressed in a long skirt, he helped Kong Tong, who was tipsy, home. Then he looked sad. “They said I shouldn’t become my wife’s plaything.”
Kong Tong panicked. “Y-you’re my wife. It’s only right for you to... to play with me...”
He really was straight.
But his wife was so pitiful. How could he not comfort him?
He gave his wife his first kiss, then got thoroughly played with by his wife’s tentacles.
Kong Tong: “...”
His beautiful wife pressed close. “You’re so good to me, hubby...”
His wife said, “Hubby, don’t hang out with those bad friends.” His wife said, “Hubby, do your best to go seven rounds in one night.” His wife said, “Hubby, hubby, where are you running off to?”
Kong Tong felt he’d figured out how his wife’s previous husband had died. Before his kidneys gave out, he hurried to the Immigration Bureau to file the paperwork.
But by chance, he saw his wife’s previous marriage application, and his own name was written clearly on it.
He stared in shock and asked his wife, who had chased after him, “What’s going on?”
His wife clung to him, panting softly and speaking timidly. “Even if I fuck you to death, I’ll bring you back to life and marry you again.”
So that was it. That was what it was.
He loved me so much.
Dazed, he went home again and saw his wife in the kitchen wearing nothing but an apron. Life was still as peaceful and happy as ever.
They kissed and embraced. He was pinned against the counter, trembling with warmth. He accidentally kicked open a cupboard, and tentacles hidden inside tossed out ropes, handcuffs, and a blindfold.
His wife was horrified. “Hubby, I didn’t hypnotize you!”
Kong Tong: “...”
H-help...
Theme: No matter what setbacks you encounter, live a healthy, positive life.
So melancholy. I don't like any of the recommended books, and it's easy to break up the ones I find by myself. Whether it's fan fiction or original work, sometimes there's an indefinite leave note, and sometimes it just disappears without a trace. Or maybe I don't have the energy now, and I'm not willing to try to read something I don't like at first glance. I usually do it. There are more and more things going on, so I read less and less novels, and encounter more interruptions. Now I don't want to look for new novels, but watching posts and videos is really boring. I still like to read novels, read stories, see the sincerity of the characters, and see everything the author has experienced unfold in a euphemistic way in her writing. Well, it's very sad. Even if the author updates it so many days later, will I still be interested in reading it again, or read the previous one again? I don't know the answer, but I am no longer disappointed when I take the time to open the software every day and see the empty cover, nor am I looking forward to it.
If the baby is Kavin or if there is anything happening in real life, you can tell us [biting handkerchief] [biting handkerchief] [biting handkerchief] I have read a few of your books and they don't feel like the type of pigeons for no reason [biting handkerchief] [biting handkerchief] [biting handkerchief] Come back and tell us the reason...
Why is there no movement here? [Crying] Boss, are you coming back?
One chapter has been stuck for half a month. . Zhu Bo, why don't you send me an accurate message? Isn't it Yang? [Cracked]
Author, can you please come back and comment?
Is this a trap? How can I understand v?
Teacher, are you still going home for dinner? [Crying]
Dad, are you busy with something right now? [Lie down]
Boss... Are you coming back?
In fact, I haven't read the latest chapter yet. It's been so long that I've forgotten the plot. Boss, after you got stuck, did you just open a new article and ignore the old one? [Lie down]
