When taking human form, he accidentally chooses a small black hole resembling a black hole, and becomes a completely black kitten. That's fine. Kittens can run and jump too. He has someone to find. As an obscure and feeble black hole, he is rarely observed. Throughout the long, hazy stretch of time in which he was conscious, no one had ever noticed him, not even once. Until one day, Xuanqi senses a gaze from far away. Instinctively, he eats the gaze, then looks back. A human observes him, day after day. So Xuanqi notices the tiny life too. Xuanqi figures that the person observing him must be a frail, artistic researcher, wearing a white lab coat and gold-rimmed glasses, with dark circles under their eyes as they write papers. At last, he finds the owner of the gaze. He is 1.9 meters tall, with tanned skin, a muscular build, and rugged, practical clothes. Wild and dashing, he is the hugely popular adventurer and veteran researcher Lin Chengxing. Xuanqi meows and meows on the spot for a while, but in the end decides to follow him. Captain Lin has a cat now, so his interstellar expeditions aren't lonely anymore. The only problems are that chicken legs keep disappearing from the table, the cherry tomatoes the crew planted get swallowed, and the hard meteorites they bring back get gnawed in half... Lin Chengxing picks up the cat, holding the eighth alloy cat bowl, bitten in half, in his other hand. The kitten thinks he's about to get beaten and curls up into a ball, like a black hole. The black hole secretly opens an eye and sneaks a look at him. Lin Chengxing: "Meteorites are radioactive." "The meteorite ran into my mouth all by itself!" Seeing that Captain Lin doesn't believe him, Xuanqi jumps up, turns into a human, and plants a quick kiss on Captain Lin. "I can run into your mouth all by myself too." Lin Chengxing: "..." Lin Chengxing thinks he's met a very rebellious black hole. It boldly demands his attention and affection, then gives them back to him twofold. For ten years, he has gazed day after day at a region of the universe no one has ever explored. There are no stars or life in that abyss, just like his desolate heart. Until a little black cat runs out of the abyss. And meows at him. *Special thanks to the readers and friends who drew the cat pictures! ---Coming soon: Pudding Cat's Apocalypse Adventure "The wave of mutations can't be stopped. Oh, God, when will a cure appear?" And so, a miraculous formula is born. They say: Congratulations. The first psychic mutant capable of soothing monsters has appeared. It's a pudding with a cat tail and cat ears. In the 59th year since genetic pollution began, humanity's last remaining base has tried countless experiments, all in an effort to stop attacks by mutant species and the mental damage caused by the mutations. Pudding is the last experimental subject born in the lab. He's so timid that even the slightest fright makes him turn back into a cat, then melt into a little ball of pudding. The pretty boy with cat ears can only curl up inside a glass enclosure. For a while, people think he has no abilities at all. Until someone discovers that Pudding's voice can soothe attacking monsters. Even just approaching or touching him can soothe mental damage that had never before been treatable. Countless people beg Pudding to soothe them. The mutants do too. As long as Pudding is willing to let them hold his caramel-scented tail, they'll do anything. But his soothing ability has limits. Humanity's supreme commander regretfully announces that Pudding needs to rest. Wei Li, humanity's supreme commander and an SSS-rank mutant, is always calm and powerful, like an unwavering lighthouse. Only Pudding knows the truth. Wei Li has long since gone mad and become a monster in human form. In public, he is righteous and kind. In private, he locks Pudding in a dark little room and repeatedly strokes his cat ears and tail, until he drains the last bit of the ability that lets Pudding soothe others. He doesn't stop even when the gland on Pudding's lower abdomen is swollen. Coming soon: Care for Some Mint? Bo Qing is a mint plant that gained sentience at the foot of a snowy mountain. As times changed, he moved out of his old home and bought a small courtyard in the suburbs. One day, a tenant moves in. He pays generously, is quick and capable, and visits tourist attractions like a special forces soldier, staying busy from morning till night. Bo Qing only has to zone out for a moment before the tenant has completely renovated his little courtyard. Bo Qing: "..." The tenant is traveling from place to place, alone, and wants something to keep him company. Bo Qing is slowly thinking about what kind of easy-to-care-for animal he could keep in the yard when he sees a handsome, upright man pointing at a potted plant in the corner. "Could I have one? I want to raise it." Bo Qing watches him carry off his original body: "...?" Sheng Yixiao spent half his life working himself to the bone in a big city in the east, until he finally ended up in the hospital. After being discharged, he decides to travel everywhere. Passing through one place, he sees a young man lounging in a wicker chair in the sun. Sunlight filters through the vine leaves, dappling an exotic cloak like a painting. What a leisurely life. He decides to stay here for a while. The young man becomes his landlord. The landlord lives alone year-round, but is terribly careless about his daily life, and Sheng Yixiao can't help tidying up. He tidies, and tidies, and tidies... Life is relaxing and pleasant. He even gets a pot of mint from the landlord and keeps it by the window. After that, the pretty young man keeps showing up in front of him. Blue skies and white clouds, green vines and red earth. The wind blows through the house, bringing the young man's scent with it. Sheng Yixiao hugs the mint and smells it, then looks at the young man. Landlord, you smell so good... Bo Qing doesn't understand what humans are thinking. He's patient and believes that one day he'll get his original body back. One day, after calmly waiting for the human to finish kissing and hugging him, he notices that one of his leaves is missing. There's a leaf in the water glass. The human has developed a shocking appetite for mint. He seems to have endless mint recipes, and also loves hugging Bo Qing, smelling him, and kissing him. Bo Qing: "..." "You can't eat it..." Still speaking slowly, and only after being kissed so many times that his face turns red, he adds, "Why not eat me instead? I taste like mint too." *A 2,600-year-old mint-flavored landlord who takes life at a leisurely pace x a traveler who spends his whole life rushing and working himself to the bone.
