Romance Novel Recommendations from a Seven-Year Reader

You can count on the writing, plot, characters, and foreshadowing. I only read sweet romances, and very few are modern romances. I especially enjoy female leads who attract multiple admirers or are universally adored, among other types (not all stories fit these tropes).

I don't read BL or GL. Good readers don't insult the authors. If you don't like the authors of the books I recommend, just leave. What am I supposed to do if you drive away the authors I love?!

I think these should be easy to get into. The four- and five-star ones are worth a try; think twice about the three-star ones.

The best reading experience is when the author gives us sweetness and angst in tantalizing little hints. Readers hunt around for every tiny detail and obsess over it, while we all play hide-and-seek with the author.
