[Complete] [Check out the ongoing series I'm Dazai in a Werewolf Game, but It's an Infinite-Flow Game, and the upcoming novel Discharged!, synopsis at the very bottom] After failing to clear the game for the 233rd time, Mizushima Kawaya transmigrates. And becomes a character he had hastily made in a fit of rage: beautiful and powerful, with a complicated background and amazing abilities, but blind. … When Mizushima Kawaya wakes up, he finds someone else in the room. He remembers that character creation in the game assigns family relationships, so maybe the stranger in the room is a free family member. He feels his way over and touches the other's smooth, flowing hair. Mizushima Kawaya gets it. "Um... I just lost my memory." He gives the hair a gentle tug, confirming it isn't a wig. "Are you my mom? My older sister? My younger sister?" After feeling how tall the person is, he decides. "Big sis, you're my one and only big sis." Gin, who was about to kill him to keep him quiet: … … After a while, Mizushima Kawaya discovers that the random debuffs he had spitefully assigned to his character in a fit of rage have taken effect. As he's negotiating with an organization over how much they'll have to pay to protect him from his "older sister" trying to kill him, his skin hunger suddenly kicks in. He freezes, unable to control his thoughts as loneliness and pain fill his mind. By the time he comes to, tears are streaming down his face, and he has made a desperate request of everyone present. "Please, please... hug me..." Even more lethal, someone actually responds. And when his amnesia kicks in, he doesn't remember anything that happened during an episode. … When a certain villain starts making trouble, his obsessive-compulsive disorder and uncontrollable crying kick in at the same time. Mizushima Kawaya sobs so hard he can barely breathe, while violently holding down a few of the fake besties. "Wah, wah... These gems aren't lined up properly. I can't see. Please, please line them up..." The White Triangle: "...Dude, you can't see. How do you know they're out of place?" "Wah... I don't care. I have to check every single one..." … Later, Mizushima Kawaya finally removes his debuffs, and even cures his blindness in the process. He opens his eyes. His eyes, experiencing color for the first time in this world, are still fragile, and tears spill out of them. So many people are surrounding him! Help! Let him go blind again! ★ A lighthearted, comedic story full of misunderstandings. Some people will have one-sided crushes on the protagonist, who is a happy, silly puppy. ★ There are lots of kinds of debuffs, including fantastical and real-world ones. No in-depth research required. ★ There is a CP, the one who's been around the whole time. Naming the character would slightly spoil the earlier story, but you should figure it out by Chapter Three. Ongoing series next door: I'm Dazai in a Werewolf Game, but It's an Infinite-Flow Game Coser Feng Ya is a devoted Dazai fan. The day before going to a convention, after trying on his costume and makeup, he transmigrates. At first, he doesn't realize he's transmigrated. Looking at the four Chuus, five Gojos, seven or eight Dazais, and all kinds of popular and obscure characters in the white hall, he marvels at how accurate everyone's costumes and makeup are. Until a System prompt rings in his mind: [Game start. Players must not reveal their cosplayer identities.] Feng Ya: ??? … This is a game of Werewolf. Almost everyone is an original character from a different IF timeline. Each round, the players are dropped into a different scenario, then they vote at the end. Feng Ya draws at random and reads the scenario: [Taisho era. A tyrannical dad (Gojo), a mad mom (Gin), a gloomy younger brother (Dazai), and a fragile little sister (Tomie). As the older brother, do your best to maintain a harmonious, happy family!] [Jujutsu world. The opposing team is made up of sorcerers (Fyodor, Enmu, and others), while your teammate is the Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Death God Conan. There are three Dazais in one world, so do your best to stop the world from being annihilated!] [Detective Conan world. It's just ABO…] Feng Ya steels himself and does his best to make his character seem like a plausible IF Dazai. But in the end, he can't compete with the other Dazais. After several rounds, he's backed into a corner. "Your eyes are different from ours." Just as the System is about to declare him the loser, Feng Ya shuts his eyes and gives up. "Is being Dazai really supposed to be a happy thing?" The undercover agent blows his cover! "I used to feel pain too, until I found someone I loved. Sadly, he's gone now. But luckily, the game told me my beloved is here." Feng Ya points with his eyes still closed. "I know falling for an alternate version of someone is ridiculous. Vote me out. I don't want to hurt any of you." "What if one of you is my wife?" He reaches out. Every Dazai takes a step back in unison, while all the alternate Chuus wear strange expressions. The other characters either watch with snacks or sit back and enjoy the show. … Feng Ya: QAQ He doesn't want to lose the game, but his Dazais, his fictional wives, shouldn't look at him like that Why have you all suddenly stopped suspecting me, only to start accusing each other of being out of character?! I'm really not a pervert!!! Upcoming: Discharged! Cong Zhilin, a well-known psychiatric department director in G City. After years in medicine, one day he makes a mistake and ends up in the psychiatric ward himself. Before they lock him away, he screams and scratches, saying the world is full of monsters, the moon whispers, and nightmares kill. Three months later, an abnormal change occurs. The monsters, whose touch means instant death, begin to awaken. And Cong Zhilin is discharged. · Cong Zhilin believes he has completely recovered. He's healthy and sunny, still the most beloved doctor in G City. His good friend screams, "Old Cong! The sofa eats people!" The sofa grows a split and sharp teeth. Rather than have people sit on it, it would rather sit on top of them and crush them. Cong Zhilin smiles brightly, raises his leg, and presses the sole of his leather shoe against the sofa. "Isn't that perfectly normal?" . A patient asks for help. "Doctor, doctor... My face is so itchy." The flesh on his face writhes, as if something is about to hatch from it. Cong Zhilin uses a scalpel to cut out several eyeballs, still speaking gently. "It's okay, just a few pimples." The patient says, "It still itches..." As Cong Zhilin cuts the tentacles out of the wound, he says, "Sweetie, you have a tendency to scar, so you get a lot of overgrowth. You'll be discharged soon." . "Dr. Cong! This whole world is full of monsters! Can't you see them?" Cong Zhilin stiffens. Holding a battle-tested chainsaw, he stands in a twisted hospital corridor. His expression shifts from uncertainty to a healthy, sunny smile. "Don't lie to me. I've already been discharged." "Don't think you can lock me up again!" . Gradually, no one says Dr. Cong isn't normal anymore. Cong Zhilin is satisfied. He's also willing to take in patients who don't want to be discharged, though he doesn't understand them. It's just that people keep saying, "Dr. Cong, isn't there something wrong with your partner?" Cong Zhilin replies, "My partner is gentle and considerate, flexible, full of energy, unmarried and childless, mentally sound, cleared the premarital exam, and has no infectious diseases." "But... Doctor, is your partner human?" Cong Zhilin takes the chainsaw offered by a pure white tentacle. "Of course my sweetie is human." The chainsaw starts up. "Y-yes... Your partner is so handsome!" "Discharged!" Theme: Stay positive no matter the circumstances
