The Hero Was Hypnotized by the Demon King

[Switch pairing] [I've been quite unwell lately, so updates are irregular]

Eryan is the protagonist of the game, the savior chosen by "Fate," the hero praised by everyone. At just eighteen, he is already invincible.

He will overcome every obstacle, defeat the strongest of the villains, the Demon King, and achieve a happy ending in which he saves the world.

But the player got bored of steamrolling everything with cheats and quit halfway through.

From then on, Eryan had a mind of his own.

He followed the player's route for two years, feeling utterly lost.

Until he met the Demon King.

He pretended to fall under the other's control magic, and discovered that it wasn't so bad.

If he didn't want to fight, he would pout. If he couldn't sleep well in the Demon King's castle, he would make a fuss. If he was bored, he would go find ways to tease the Demon King.

The Demon King thought he was nothing like the hero of legend, and worried that he might not be under the spell at all.

He ordered, "Prove your loyalty."

"How could I do that when your order is so vague?" The beautiful hero nestled beside him, bare feet on the carpet, chin propped on his hand as he looked at the Demon King. "Please be more specific."

For once, the Demon King was clever. He said dejectedly, "You wouldn't listen even if I told you."

But then the hero opened his shirt, pressed the Demon King's palm to his chest, and breathed softly. "Can you feel how devoted I am?"

Several years after the hero disappeared.

The dark-skinned, big-breasted Demon King, tall and crowned with a pair of devil horns, wrapped an arm around the hero's waist and stood at the entrance to humanity's headquarters. "Your hero has fallen under my control magic!"

Eryan: "..." How embarrassing.

He was about to set the record straight, but his teammates looked horrified. Someone said, "Oh no, I knew we shouldn't have lowered his mental resistance!"

Eryan lowered his eyes, looking meek and pitiful, and turned to the Demon King. "Honey, they're bullying me. Can I kill them all?"

Demon King: "..." Isn't that a bit extreme?

And so, the whole world learned that the hero had fallen to darkness.

The Demon King still let the hero go.

The hero's first half of life had been so dazzling. His conscience got the better of him, and he didn't want to tarnish someone else's idealized beloved.

More importantly, he really couldn't keep up at night.

He heard the hero was now deeply loved by everyone, and the Demon King, who kept peeping at him, was pleased too.

Then everything went black.

When he woke up, he had been dragged back to the Demon King's castle. The hero sat on his throne, idly tugging at the silver chains on the Demon King's body with his treasured sword.

The doors were locked. The whole world fell silent.

"Are you not interested in me anymore, honey?"

"If you've grown two of these and don't plan to use them..." The hero's voice sounded pitiful, but his eyes were cold. "Then it's my turn."

[Bonus Scene]

The hero had never been hypnotized before. To fool the Demon King, he spent a few minutes learning hypnosis magic, then hypnotized him.

After studying the Demon King's reactions in depth...

"Forget this," he ordered.

Demon King, nosebleeding: Who knew the cool, noble hero would be like this and that when hypnotized!

Hero: Ovo

The Demon King had certainly taught him well through hands-on experience.
