[Western Crossover] Batkid, but a Wayne Ancestor

Edmond Wayne: a Grade One workaholic with boundless energy. The greatest ancestor of the Wayne family, founder of Gotham, swordsmanship master, chosen of the gods, ally of the Knights Templar, and lord of the most valuable bay during the colonization of the Americas. After his legendary life came to an end, he awoke again several centuries later, in Gotham. But Edmond had become… an eight-year-old boy with black hair and blue eyes, dressed in rags. Edmond: Thanks for asking. I’m in Gotham, and I just picked up a newspaper. Good news: The Wayne family still exists. Bad news: His only descendant, Bruce, is a womanizing playboy who loves extreme sports and squanders the family fortune. Edmond: …Damn, what an unworthy descendant. Jason swore he didn’t have a weird habit of picking up kids, until he saw a black-haired, blue-eyed boy cursing out Gotham’s rich. Jason: That’s the feeling of falling for someone. I’m keeping him. Damian met a new classmate at school. He had black hair and blue eyes, looked familiar, and was a huge fan of Bruce’s adopted sons. Damian scoffed. He thought Edmond was just another kid dreaming of being adopted by Bruce. Until… Edmond: “Bruce is useless, wasting his life in drunken indulgence. He’ll bring about his own downfall sooner or later.” Damian: …That’s the feeling of rage. Draw your sword. Bruce received a diary written by an ancestor of the Wayne family. Then Bruce saw Edmond (as a child). People around him: Look at his black hair and blue eyes! Edmond is your son! Bruce: …? Don’t you have that backwards? That’s completely out of order! The blurb and the story may differ a little, but the central premise is unchanged. The setting is based on the comic “Batman: White Knight,” with some changes. Coming soon: “The Police Handbook in an Injustice World” Aurel was playing a police-work simulation game on easy mode. In the game, he was a new GCPD officer living in Gotham, a bright city on easy mode where his superiors supported him, his coworkers cared for him, and the crime rate was low. After grinding and paying to beat the game at top speed, Aurel found it laughably easy. So when Aurel started a second playthrough on super-hard mode with his max-level police account, he found himself in the middle of a fierce battle, with arson, murder, and looting all around him. He politely asked a passerby, “Excuse me, is this Gotham?” Passerby: “What Gotham? This is Metropolis, the safest city in the country. Haven’t you heard?” Aurel glanced at the indescribable body parts whizzing past his ear and was overjoyed. What a challenging game! … In this era, when the old order had crumbled, all heroes had become outcasts. A corrupted Superman had brought a new order to the world. Batman led the rebellion, hunkering down in an underground city and waiting for a chance to strike back, but their supplies were nearly gone. The missing Nightwing cast a shadow over Batman’s heart. Then a strange man appeared, claiming to be a GCPD officer. Batman stared coldly at him. “The Gotham Police Department has been gone for a long time.” Aurel’s eyes lit up. “Then can I be commissioner?” … While blazing a trail, Aurel found a badly injured man in an abandoned mine. He opened the System and entered the man’s details. To his horror, he discovered that the man was his fellow officer, Dick Grayson, a cop from Bludhaven. How outrageous, Aurel thought indignantly. He was going to arrest everyone who assaulted a police officer. Pairing: Dick Theme: Never give up striving.
