Stop sleeping and get up to study!] Unfortunately, he was inexplicably bound to a System halfway through his life. Theodore rolled over and opened the criminal psychology book beside his pillow, silently grumbling: This isn’t a System. It’s some new dad showing up to scam me. - The criminal mastermind training System was nearing retirement. All it wanted was a Host who could survive until the end of a mission. To that end, it turned itself into a human and wandered around Theodore’s city as an inconspicuous vagrant. Getting a human body usually meant gaining human emotions, too. When Theodore pointed a knife at the mission target and cried until his nose was running and his face was covered in tears, love, possessiveness, and desire began to grow within the System. The Host didn’t necessarily have to complete the missions. - The criminal mastermind training System had only one goal while bound to its Host: to train him into the greatest criminal mastermind of all time. Theodore hadn’t done a thing, yet he completed every mission. During one case, the Batfamily followed the clues to the suspect’s location and saw Theodore, whom they’d all carefully protected, pinned beneath a ragged man. Theodore looked at the Dark Knight and Robin, who’d kicked the door in with menacing expressions, and said anxiously, fearfully, “Don’t tell my dad.” “…” said the System, who knew their identities. - * Theodore: a genius sneaking in among the Batkids. * System/Jack: fatherly, fiercely possessive, and takes care of every one of the Host’s missions.
