Habara Masayuki was a chaotic, troublemaking player in a game. One day, he received a very special gift. Players had to interact with and care for him in the right ways, helping him open up, gradually become cheerful and lively, and rediscover his passion for life and hope for the future. The cover illustration showed a thin young man half-reclining in a hospital bed. Long, slightly wavy raven hair fell across his shoulders. His features were exquisite, his skin pale as porcelain. He could barely manage to sit up, yet his sharp eyes looked straight at the viewer. The future Demon King was indeed noble and handsome, but his behavior was cruel and merciless, and his personality had serious flaws. Still, the character art was so beautifully done that, even though the final boss’s backstory wasn’t exactly appealing, Habara Masayuki accepted the game without hesitation. He fully embraced the spirit of the Fourth Calamity, reasoning, [Since you’re the final boss, I don’t have to go easy on you], and devoted himself to exploring the game’s various skills, dungeons, and mechanics. He put the other man through hell, making him want to kill him countless times But he couldn’t. “How humiliating. Aren’t you supposed to be the Demon King?” Habara Masayuki straightened up with a smile, looking down at the Demon King, who could only lie on the ground in a position of abject humiliation. He roughly wedged his thumb between the other man’s sharp canines, then bent down to look at the plum-red, cracked demon eyes turned toward him. Those eyes were filled with hatred. “You look absolutely famished.” Habara Masayuki leaned close to his ear, his voice tender and affectionate, as if he were whispering sweet nothings to a lover. “How does it feel to be the Demon King and yet have even less freedom than your subordinates? Are you really that eager to drink my blood?” “You... bastard...!” “Shh,” Habara Masayuki whispered. “I’ve taught you this already. Only good boys get rewards, my dear Muzan.” “Now, you know what to do, don’t you?” * You don’t need to know the original story to enjoy this. Jump right in! * Muzan pairing, male protagonist is the top. * Muzan won’t truly become cheerful and lively. He’ll stay true to himself, and the ending is a happy one. * The male lead and Muzan will experience multiple scenarios, including ones based on but not limited to the original story. They’ll be like immersive glimpses of the future, with actions taken in advance to change things, but the original plot itself won’t actually be depicted. Muzan retains the memories from every scenario. Even though he gets put through the wringer both inside and outside them, and later tries to correct his behavior of his own accord, the male lead will still bully him. They’re both inexperienced, and it’s a happy ending. * The royal uncle is very young; he’s just from an older generation. He isn’t related to Jiang Yongjing by blood. * Jiang Yongjing is a goofball on the inside, but he acts properly in public. * I ran out of room for the blurb, but both settings are fictional.
