My Pet Lop-Eared Rabbit Can Pull a Rashomon

[Next story: I Cosplayed the Demon King and Found a Seven-Year-Old Chuuya] [Check out my completed story: I Offer Despair to the Villain] Irikawa Sumi is the adopted son of the Ninth Vongola Boss, an excellent employee who's good at staying on the sidelines, and a furry (crossed out), plushie enthusiast. On his first day in Japan to assess the candidate for the Tenth Boss, he won an ultra-rare lop-eared rabbit in a shopping street raffle. Irikawa Sumi: Oh! ...Its electronic, cyber version. Irikawa Sumi: ...Fine. The adorable black-furred baby rabbit, with white tips on its fluffy ears, was just too cute. Irikawa Sumi decided to give the pet-raising game a try. What does it take to raise a healthy lop-eared rabbit? Clean water, plenty of food, a safe environment, suitable entertainment, and a little sincerity. As he kept raising it, he turned a filthy, sickly rabbit into a bright, cheerful, lively one. Irikawa Sumi felt a real sense of accomplishment. The day he won the platinum trophy, the game sent him a reward, too. Irikawa Sumi, cheerfully opening the delivery package: ... Could the boy curled up asleep in the box be the very lop-eared rabbit he'd raised from the start? Later on. A certain Akutagawa: How dare you insult Sir? Rashomon! The Tenth Boss, watching: !!! M-Mr. Irikawa, who is this...? Irikawa Sumi: ...A lop-eared rabbit. The Tenth Boss: ... The Tenth Boss: But he's... Irikawa Sumi: A lop-eared rabbit. A certain Akutagawa: Indeed. (Extremely earnest, determined gaze.jpg) The rabid dog who had struggled to survive in the slums since childhood was like a beast that knew nothing but survival. He had never been able to feel any emotion as a human being, and had grown numb even to the pain of barely clinging to life. Fate and hope had never once favored him. Everything changed on that day. *You don't need to know the source material to understand this. Dive in without worry. *The male lead is the top, and is over six years older than Akutagawa. He raises the kid at first. *Akutagawa's personality stays the same, but he won't be fixated on Dazai anymore. The cheerful, sunny personality is purely the male lead's eighteen-layer filter ( *This is simply a story about wanting to give the Disaster Dog a happy life. + *Additional note: Aside from Sumi × Akutagawa as the main pairing, no non-canon side pairings will be explicitly established.
