The Hardcore Grinder Quit

[Updates to the bonus chapters will be slow] [Unrelated upcoming story: We’re Totally a Legitimate Organization, a Bungo and Conan crossover. Please add it to your reading list!] Yokogawa Rin is a hardcore grinder. His motto is, “If I’m not dead yet, I’ll keep grinding until I am.” This hardcore grinder works as a librarian at the Imperial Library in the morning, saving literature; as a Saniwa for the Time Government in the afternoon, saving history; as a Mafia executive in the evening, matching wits with a certain sludge-brained schemer; and as a tutor in the early hours, teaching the Mafia heir. His stamina grows ever stronger, while his hair grows ever thinner. Finally, one day, Yokogawa Rin snapped. First, he quit just before his student took over. Then he defected and disappeared with the sludge-brained schemer. He found a new master for his citadel and made his escape at lightning speed. At last, he settled down at the Imperial Library. Huh? You’re asking why he kept one job? Because his beloved Akutagawa-sensei is here~ With only one job left, Yokogawa Rin was perfectly content at the library, spending every day playing with Akutagawa-sensei’s long hair, completely at ease. That is, until his great teacher pulled a sludge-brained schemer, a good-for-nothing student, and a bunch of sword spirits out of books. Yokogawa Rin was dumbfounded. Help! What should he do to stay alive?! Answer urgently needed!! [Please note] * Bungo Stray Dogs pairing with Akutagawa. All other relationships are friendship or family. * No fixed roles. Find them on my profile! Bungo Stray Dogs: The Secret Identities Got Mixed Up! Debut, Literary Masters! Unrelated upcoming story: We’re Totally a Legitimate Organization, a Bungo and Conan crossover After the Invasionists were eliminated, the Librarian brought the literary masters to settle in the present day. To fit into the modern world, the Librarian established a literary detective agency based on the nature of this world. At the same time, an organization called the Imperial Library appeared, its members using literary masters’ names as aliases. Before long, the name Imperial Library struck fear into the underworld By day, they were brilliant detectives and literary masters who loved writing. By night, they were hunters lurking in the shadows, cutting down the wicked with the cold gleam of their weapons. Rumor had it that its members could appear and disappear without a trace, one moment in Tokyo and the next in Osaka. Rumor had it that they were so powerful they didn’t seem human, able to catch bullets with their bare hands and shrug off blades and bullets. Rumor had it that they could live forever, bring the dead back to life, and wield powers like gods. The Librarian: Wait, how did these rumors get so ridiculous? He turned to see Dazai chasing after Akutagawa-sensei, Miyazawa and Tanizaki huddled together discussing picture books, and Mushanokoji and Shiga in the kitchen, researching 108 ways to eat pumpkin... Then he looked down at the tax bill and the reward money for helping people and reporting wanted criminals in his hands. They were clearly a law-abiding organization that paid its taxes on time! The people on the side of justice: Exactly! I can vouch for them. You couldn’t find a more legitimate organization. The oppressed villains: They’re obviously sinister, cunning, terrifying, and frighteningly powerful... (Ten thousand more words omitted here.) * Underling: Boss, it’s been three years since we sent a spy to the Imperial Library. Boss: How’s it going? Did they get any information about eternal life? Underling: No. The spy says he’s joining the library and says goodbye to us. Theme: Balance work and rest. Don’t overwork yourself.
