His name is Ranpo. He's an amazing detective, and everything about him is exactly, exactly my type. If I could, I'd want to be with him forever. Ranpo clearly felt the same way. After two years of dating online, he suggested that we meet in person. I didn't agree right away. Instead, I made him a deal: I'd go to the city where he lived, but I wouldn't approach him. If he could find me, I'd agree to anything he asked of me after that. He said he was the world's greatest detective, and told me to just wait and see. Of course I believed in the abilities of a great detective. There was just one very important thing I hadn't told him. --The truth is, I'm already dead. I'm a ghost now. - "Mr. Detective, you'll find me, won't you?" *The main story is told in third person, mostly from Ranpo's perspective. Ranpo opened his eyes and found himself in a different world, with a Monokuma System in his head and a detective named Saihara beside him who had also come from another world. Not only that, they discovered that they had taken the place of the boss of an organization in this world. The Monokuma System said, "If you want to go back, then play the mastermind in this world properly, pfft!" Ranpo: I don't wanna. Saihara: heart attack.jpg And so, a Detective Agency armed with weapons appeared in Beika Town. Its president had eyes that could see through the truth. No crime could escape his notice. He never showed his face, yet solved countless cases remotely. Meanwhile, a member with the codename Porto appeared in the liquor organization. Rumor had it that he acted strangely and loved nothing more than exposing people's deepest secrets and making them suffer and break down. Everyone avoided him, and no one knew what he looked like. The two identities had nothing to do with each other, until an elementary school student who had unexpectedly joined the Detective Agency discovered that the president's assistant seemed to be part of the Black Organization. Meanwhile, an overworked undercover agent received word that Porto seemed to be very interested in that president. One big and one small: Oh no, the president's been targeted! To protect the president, whose powers of deduction were formidable, from being harmed by the organization, the two sides began investigating in depth. But the more they looked into it, the stranger things seemed to get. Why was the president's assistant Hiro? Why was Porto's partner Matsuda? Why would Porto go and solve the Detective Agency's cases? Why would the president show up in the organization's missions? Why?! - Because he is himself, and they are each other. --"The detective is the mastermind." -- Theme: Uncover the truth and ensure victims are not left to suffer injustice.
