Even This Little Kitty Isn't a Good One

As an ordinary little street cat who had watched fantasy shows and movies, Xiao Man always fantasized about being a cat spirit. She firmly believed that, just like the characters on TV, she needed to accumulate good deeds to become a demon. One day, she finally found a human toddler on the street. Smart, adorable, and unwanted. And so, the little cat began her working-cat life, earning money to raise a child. A famous cat appeared on Liyuan Avenue. They say that if you take this cat to a fruit shop, she'll help you pick a durian with thin skin, lots of sweet, fragrant flesh, and a soft, sticky texture. Everyone calls her the Durian Cat. When no one is watching, the little black-and-white cat sits in front of a phone, earnestly studying videos on how to pick durians. "Look at the shape... The skin should have creamy little points?" All right, the cat understands. Later, a topic went viral online: #WhatDoesTheHardestWorkingCatLookLike Thinking it was just another pet blogger buying a trending spot for their cat, netizens clicked in and found a crowd of people gathered around a cat holding a sign that read "Cat-Approved Picks." Her eyes were shining as she enthusiastically meowed and recommended cat scratchers. Sales had already topped ten thousand. Netizens: Wait, are you actually serious? Some netizens looked her up and found that this little cat had appeared on trending lists several times. She had helped people pick durians, gone into a storm drain to retrieve an exam admission ticket, and even joined the local pet funeral team, where she sang eulogies for pets! Netizens: I'm in tears. What a story of feline entrepreneurship. Later, at the latest Street Cat and Dog Development Conference, the little cat stood on a trash can and loudly meowed to lead a crowd of cats and dogs: "Our slogan is: Build our fortunes, get rich, and work hard to become spirits!" The other cats cried excitedly: "Become spirits! Become spirits!" Six-year-old Chen Ping'an's mother died. On the day her father married his old flame, Ping'an was thrown out after asking for child support and getting nowhere. Then a little black-and-white cat fell from the sky, and from that day on, her life changed. Later, Ping'an remembered how the little cat had come toward her, bathed in sunlight. Just like the black cat police chief from the cartoon, the cat had come to uphold justice and save her life. On her first day at work, she discovered that all her colleagues were cats. Her job was to take complaints and inquiries from cats big and small, then help coordinate solutions. "Complaint: Humans are pouring water into our cat homes. So mean!" After receiving the complaint, staff immediately went to investigate. The site turned out to be an abandoned storm drain. Because of the recent heavy rains, community workers had cleared and reopened it. A family of tuxedo cats has now been relocated there. "Inquiry: My human was kicked out of the house after growing up. Can a cat adopt her?" After an on-site investigation, we found that the person in question had not been kicked out. She had moved to another city and rented a place after getting a job. By the time staff went to investigate, the cat who called had already arrived at the human's home, two hundred li away. After coordination by staff, the independent human has temporarily been assigned to the caller cat's care. "Complaint: Mom always favors my older sister. She lets her eat at the table and gives her good food in the little room, but gives none to the cat. The cat is sad." We confirmed that the caller cat's older sister and mother are human. To stop the cat from eating things she shouldn't, they eat separately in a little room where the cat can't go. The staff and cat staff have explained this to the caller, a little orange cat, many times. The kitten refuses to accept it and insists on tasting the food. "Complaint: Cats are always having meetings on my car, and there are paw prints everywhere. Please have the community chase them away." "All right, we'll take care of it right away... Hm?" Lin Ming, who was already overwhelmed with work, was stunned to discover that this complaint had come from a human. What was going on? Had a human somehow wandered onto the cat hotline? Theme: Love life and grow toward the light.
