I'm Fuzzy, But I Run a Pet Shop

In an age when magic has faded, spiritual energy is scarce, demons have vanished, and cultivators are few and far between.

The cat demon Xu Miaomiao wakes up to inherit a shop left by a distant great-aunt: a pet grooming salon.

Xu Miaomiao sighs. “Demons these days can't even take human form!”

When the shop first opens, only a handful of customers come by.

Most are pets other salons have turned away for having terrible tempers.

The owner of a giant Maine Coon looks troubled. “My cat is usually sweet, but the moment it gets wet, it goes wild and often scratches people. It's like a different cat.”

Xu Miaomiao gives it a cool glance. “The water's too hot.”

The owner: “Huh?”

Xu Miaomiao: “It says your shower is set too hot and burns its paws. Go home and lower the temperature by five degrees. Remember to put its favorite rubber duck in the water, and use duck-scented shampoo.”

The owner: “...What?!”

The owner of a mud-covered poodle looks close to despair. “Lucky is usually so well-behaved. I don't know why it suddenly ran into a mud pit and started rolling around. It wouldn't come back no matter how much I called.”

Xu Miaomiao glances sideways at the dog in question. “It's trying to distract you.”

The owner: “?”

Xu Miaomiao: “It just ate poop off the ground and was afraid you'd find out, so it ran into the mud pit to cover up the smell.”

The owner: “...!!!”

The owners don't believe her at first. But then they try lowering the water temperature, setting out the rubber duck, and checking the scene of the poop-eating incident...

They discover that Xu Miaomiao is uncannily accurate. Every single thing she says comes true!

Word of Xu Miaomiao spreads through the area, and more and more people bring their pets to her for advice.

Gradually, her business grows from a simple pet grooming salon into the largest animal hospital in the area... and even a wildlife rescue center officially partnered with the Forestry Bureau!

The animals she treats expand from cats and dogs to all kinds of exotic pets, then to rare and endangered protected species!

Zhou Heng accidentally discovers that the stray kitten his younger sister adopted has two owners.

During the day, it goes to the neighbor's house to bask in the sun and nap.

At night, it returns to his home to beg for food, eat, and act cute.

When no one is looking, it sometimes rallies the other cats and dogs in the neighborhood to go out and fight over territory!

As they say, three strikes and you're out. Zhou Heng decides to have a serious talk with the neighbor about who gets to keep the kitten.

That night, the kitten crawls into his bed and wriggles around.

Zhou Heng suddenly feels a weight on top of him. The next moment, a young woman with smiling eyes crawls out from under the covers.

She looks exactly like the neighbor next door!

Zhou Heng's fingers tremble slightly. “...”

This is bad. He must be hallucinating.
