Why Do Cats Have to Earn Money Too?

The story starts on the 22nd. Everyone's welcome! Note: The female lead becomes human midway through, and the male lead appears around the middle. Their romantic relationship is confirmed at the end. Most of the story is about fluffy cats and their business ventures. Come meet all the adorable cats, and don't forget to add them to your favorites! Tang Chichi, who was once human in her previous life, died unexpectedly and became a little calico cat. She had a soft body, long fur, triangular ears, and a three-lobed mouth. Cute as she was, anyone who's been a stray knows what life is like. She could see that a life of feast or famine was all that awaited her. Little cat Tang Chichi looked at the frail kittens her good cat friend had given birth to, gritted her teeth, and made up her mind. Make money! I have to make money! * Students at X University noticed that the cats on campus had started acting strangely. A tabby cat had started saving seats in the library. Before the librarian could carry it away, it smacked its business card with a paw to show its displeasure. "Whose cat did you send to save your seat? Come get it! Your cat seat-saver is about to be kicked out!" You no longer had to go downstairs to pick up takeout left on the first floor of your dorm. A cat delivery worker would pant as it carried your order upstairs in its mouth. Though... once they delivered it, they'd sit there without moving until you took pity on them and fed them a couple of bites. "Whenever I order diet food, the kittens are so eager to deliver it... then they eat half my chicken breast. Helping me lose weight, good kitty!" There was also a mobile cat cafe. "Aaaaaah, the gold-medal sales champ orange-and-white cat is booked through next month! I was hoping to cuddle a soft, fragrant kitty while studying for exams!" "I need to pet cats! I need to pet cats! It's been half a day since I last petted one. Hurry up and give me a cat!" Only after the cats' mysterious organization had spread throughout the entire university district, even developing all kinds of odd cat bodyguards and cat babysitters, did people realize what was going on. Holy crap, who taught them all this?! The cat bodyguard service was a huge hit from the moment it launched. After a late shift, you could place an order and a cat with eyes shining like lightbulbs would hurry over to escort you home. It made you feel twice as safe! Members could even pick their cat bodyguard, and annual members got a monthly subscription package. Everyone: I'm ordering a ton! * The Cat Agency was practically an influencer-cat gathering place: a pretty, proud calico; a bold, ferocious tabby; a gentle white cat; a greedy orange cat; and an orange-and-white cat with a cute, high-pitched meow, among others... Whenever anyone wondered whether the kittens were there of their own free will, the calico manager was always the first to meow out a denial. Only after the company was officially founded and they bought a big house to move all the cat employees into did Tang Chichi grit her teeth and grumble in private. Do you know how hard it is for kittens to make money? Stop asking if you can pet them! That costs extra! *She becomes human later, and there's a romance. Theme: Repay the kindness you receive from others.
