The Plot Just Got Even Weirder!

[Updates at 21:00. The hilarious finished novel next door, Who Exactly Are You the Beloved Son Of??, is now out and getting rave reviews (wink)] "Some people are still alive, but they've already died socially. What you're seeing now is nothing but the resentment I left behind in this world." Kitajima Mitsuharu said to his friend Rei, "My one last wish is this: if you ever find the shameless author of this manga... please make sure you burn that bastard for me!!" "Get down from the windowsill, and that's illegal!!" * As Kitajima Mitsuharu's friends, Rei and Hiromitsu were worried about his recent strange behavior. Kitajima Mitsuharu kept starting to say something, then stopping himself, until he finally told them that he thought their world was merging with a weird manga, and some of the people around him had already been affected and started acting very strangely. After carefully reading the manga's first chapter, then being so appalled by the "darkly charismatic" version of himself that he burst into tears and practically dug ten floors down with his toes, Rei decided to remain a firm materialist. That is, until Hiromitsu was forced to question Kitajima Mitsuharu in a "cold and sinister" manner about why he had stolen his pajamas. ...What the hell is this?! Is this some kind of lunacy?! What kind of author could draw something like this?! Is the author mentally okay?! * Just as Kitajima Mitsuharu thought he had more or less figured out the idiotic manga's formula, he happened to learn that it also had an official romance spin-off. The author's tags for the spin-off were [Younger Man, Port Mafia Boss x Good-for-Nothing Japanese Public Security Undercover Office Worker Despised by His Colleagues, He Runs, He Chases, He Can't Escape Even If He Had Wings] Kitajima Mitsuharu: ... Kitajima Mitsuharu grabbed the certain black-murk-haired man who had climbed onto the roof: I'm a student, let me jump first!! Dazai: ??? * In short, to stop their world from completely merging with the world inside the manga, Kitajima Mitsuharu and his friends resolutely decided to embark on a journey to resist the merging of worlds! * It's silly, seriously silly, full of memes, and has an extremely high level of character torment. Mainly a found-family friendship story, but the plot will wreck every single character equally :p * It's a story about healing. Really. * Synopsis revised on 2023.05.16. Compared to her, even protagonists who transmigrated into the bodies of wicked female supporting characters seemed much luckier, because the book she'd entered had no romance at all. It was a full-fledged horror novel. The only reason she had a major supporting role in this story was that... the biggest villainous Boss was currently growing inside her. Unfortunately, she and that Boss weren't parent and child. They were parasite and Host. * This was an absurd world where monsters could only be defeated with the power of monsters. Some people even sought out high-level monsters to parasitize them in pursuit of power. But the higher a monster's level, the faster it grew. To keep from being hollowed out by the monster, its Host could only suppress its growth with highly poisonous drugs. A wounded monster would struggle violently inside the human body in retaliation, subjecting its Host to unbearable pain. But when Fei Jinyao gritted her teeth and injected the drug into herself, ready to face the pain that would follow, she saw only a human-shaped illusion formed by the monster in her body connecting to her nerves. It shed tears and softly said to her, "It hurts." Besides that, she felt nothing at all. She hadn't even felt the slightest pain when she plunged the needle into her own body. Theme: Only you can save yourself.
