Matsuda the Kitty and His Hapless Classmates

[Exclusive to Jinjiang. Updates at 9:00. Reading guide below.]

[Pre-release fanfic: I'm Just Like This Nezha, Nezha x Ao Bing]

[Pre-release fanfic: The Genuine-Booze Member Is Forced to Survive, Red Faction x Gin]

[Completed: Matsuda's Idol Drama Curse, Hagi x Matsuda]

After a deafening explosion, Matsuda opens his eyes again and finds himself sitting before a pile of broken glass, lost in thought. In the mirror, he sees ears on his head and a tail behind him.

He's become a black cat!

Realizing he's no longer technically human, Matsuda irritably flicks his tail.

"Huh? Why is there a cat here?"

Matsuda looks up and recognizes the golden-haired jerk who vanished right after graduation, his old classmate! He badly wants to claw that handsome face, but he needs this jerk's help to turn back into a human.

So Matsuda swallows his pride and begs his hapless classmate to take him in.

After that, a ragdoll Lord Jing, a calico childhood friend, and others gradually make their way into the household.

The Cat God says, "We're running a buy-one-get-one deal right now. You saved my grandson, so I'll give you two of your old classmates in return. But if you want to become human again, you'll have to work for it, meow."

Matsuda: "..."

Pre-release blurb: The Genuine-Booze Member Is Forced to Survive

Pairing: Red Faction x Gin

Panno. That's his codename.

Because he can predict other people's deaths, just like his codename suggests, he's not well liked.

One day, he finally foresees the date of his own death. But he realizes that this world has strayed from its proper course: people who should have survived in his prophetic dreams are now going to die. To make sure his own fate follows its predetermined path, he chooses to save those people.

And so, voices like these begin to ring out on the streets of Neon City:

"Hey, you're going to get blown up."

"You're going to get hit by a car."

"You're going to..."

Gradually, people's opinion of him changes from "He's a lunatic" to "He's not beyond saving. We need to set him on the right path. He's a good person, and we need to keep him alive."

Panno, forced to stay alive, thinks: You Red Faction people really love making things up. I swear, you people are unbelievable.

Reading Guide:

[Added 2022.5.23: The previous blurb made the pairing easy to misunderstand, so it has been revised. The pairing has always been Hagi, Matsuda, Jing, and Zero.]

[The timeline is set before Class Rep dies. Character relationships in the Detective Conan world will be changed later; please pay attention to the author's notes. Hiro and Hagi appear later, so the characters may be leaning on each other after losing their partners at first. Some characters may be out of character.]

[The police academy group gets a second chance; everyone else's fate matches the original.]

[In this story, the revived male calico cat Hagi has reproductive abilities and is a healthy cat. Please don't read anything weird into this QAQ.]

[Since the cats used to be human, they don't go into heat unless something unusual happens. And because their souls are human, only their hearing and sense of smell are as sharp as a cat's; their other senses are human.]
