As graduation approaches, Hagiwara Kenji is surprised to realize that his feelings for his childhood friend have changed. Trembling, he opens the search bar and types: [What should I do if I have ulterior designs on my childhood friend?]

[Answer: Go for it.]

Just as Hagiwara Kenji finally works up the courage to confess at the Nagano fireworks festival, Matsuda Jinpei goes missing, and Hagiwara Kenji is never the same again.

After an accident, he takes APTX and falls into the water, turning into little Matsuda. Faced with the probing gazes of the Morofushi brothers, he chooses to... pretend to have amnesia! While Matsuda Jinpei is selectively pretending to have amnesia, he hears Morofushi Hiromitsu say he won't become a police officer, and figures out what's going on.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one knows he's Matsuda Jinpei, he clings to Morofushi Hiromitsu. "Wherever you're going, Brother Hiromitsu, I'm going too!"

Morofushi Hiromitsu: ... (smile breaks)

Morofushi Takaaki watches the two of them meaningfully.

"Take the little one with you. He seems to have latched onto you, and I can't raise a child here."

Then he realizes that even though the only thing that has changed about him is that he's wearing sunglasses, the person there to meet him is one of his fellow trainees.

Ever since he joined the Organization, Gin has always looked at him strangely. It isn't until a dream finally helps him understand why.

So the two of them knew each other before? But he's only just reached this point in his life. No wonder Gin looks at him so strangely, like he's looking at a heartbreaker.

[The Organization Arc: The Organization's Secrets, Part Two]

After Scotland realizes that his feelings for Whiskey are a little off, he starts deliberately avoiding him, condemning himself countless times for apparently turning into a womanizer.

Besides, this is the Black Organization, and he's undercover. The Whiskey he likes is a high-ranking member of the Organization. How can he have feelings for someone like that? He can't!

What's more, there's a son who looks a lot like Matsuda Jinpei. He might be an experimental subject, but that doesn't mean Matsuda Jinpei never had contact with the Black Organization while he was alive. Scotland hasn't finished investigating yet.

Then one day, Scotland notices the inexplicable similarities between Midorikawa Jin and Matsuse Takumi. His theory changes from Whiskey being the father of an experimental subject who might be Matsuda Jinpei's son, to Matsuse Takumi and Midorikawa Jin being father and son.

Matsuda Jinpei (Matsuse Takumi): . Fine, I really did become a dad with no pain at all.

Later, while Matsuda Jinpei is rescuing Scotland, Sunglasses-kun unfortunately shatters, and so does Scotland.

Scotland: (eyes trembling) ...So I've been in love with the same person all along?

Matsuda Jinpei: ...

Wait, what is he talking about? I don't understand.

Matsuda Jinpei saves Kenji, Hiromitsu, and the squad leader, and even happens to save a bunch of oddballs. When he turns around, he finds the whole group he's rescued sneakily watching him?

Matsuda Jinpei: Are you all having some kind of team-building event? Why are there so many of you?

Wait, is there really something wrong with this world?
