Matsuda Doesn't Want to Be a Kitty

Jinpei Matsuda made a deal with a dangerous black cat. He got to see his childhood friend again, the one who had died young, and learned what had become of his classmates, who had vanished without a trace.

Now that he knew, he couldn't just stand by and do nothing. Perhaps fate was simply playing a cruel joke on him. Before he could even process being reborn, he was already being watched and had been recruited into the Organization.

To avoid suspicion, Jinpei Matsuda began acting every day. He accidentally took the performance too far, earning a codename on par with Gin's and terrifying his classmates, who were undercover agents.

Rei Furuya never imagined that the most defiant and laid-back curly-haired classmate in his memory would become a bottle of liquor among the Organization's coldhearted members.

Though he didn't know why Matsuda had changed so much, he did figure out why he always seemed to be injured whenever they met.

Today, his classmate is once again trying to catch the cat by the tail.

One day in the future, Hiromitsu Morofushi looked at his classmate, whose upper body was covered in blood. His throat was dry and his voice trembled. "How many times has this happened now?"

Jinpei Matsuda was stunned. What are you imagining, Hiromitsu?

Legend has it that the Nekomata has nine lives and can travel between life and death. Some people long to reverse death.

Perhaps those people had realized Jinpei Matsuda's identity long ago.
