Matsuda Jinpei survived the Ferris wheel explosion.
He got a System called the Health System.
But! Why are all its missions harmful to one's health?
What do you mean, I have to sacrifice part of a person to bring my best friend back to life?!
What do you mean, I can trade one of my fingers for a gun?!
What do you mean, I can spend a little brain tissue to get some information about the future?!
So many, many, many things... After getting this System, Matsuda Jinpei discovered that every one of his organs had a price tag. The more a body part threatened his health, the more valuable the things he could exchange it for.
And it, the Life and Health System, even thoughtfully offered mental health protection.
But Matsuda Jinpei took a closer look. Wasn't this just a pain-blocking System?!
It was true that it blocked pain, but it only blocked the pain. Other adverse effects, such as blood loss and hypothermia after an injury, nerve reflexes, and bodily stiffness, would still manifest in his body.
There was no doubt that this System had saved him.
He'd thought that once the explosion was over, he wouldn't use this System again.
But...
[Mission One has been assigned based on the Host's mental state and needs.]
[Resurrect Hagiwara Kenji]
[Time limit: 20 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, 00 seconds]
[Mission requirements: Submit to the System, in the real world, the materials needed to create an adult male who is 190 cm tall (with a margin of error of 10 cm).]
[Materials include, but are not limited to, liquids, tissue, organs...]
[Acceptable submissions include separated skin and flesh, blood, fascia, small pieces of tissue... and intact organs...]
[Submitted materials are not required to come from the same source.]
[Additionally, due to the System's nature, after submitting materials, the Host will gain the ability to slowly replenish them. Wounds will continuously heal over time until the Host returns to their healthiest state of life.]
[We wish the Host a pleasant life.]
Having experienced the System's power to bring him back to life, Matsuda Jinpei actually took the time to carefully read through this string of seemingly ridiculous instructions.
So... should he go through with it?
The screen, visible only to Matsuda Jinpei, gave off a faint, cold glow. It displayed the neatest System font and the cruelest rules of exchange.
Trading human flesh and blood for material things, indulging one's greed, fulfilling one's gloriously packaged, beautiful wishes, satisfying one's obsessions, destroying one's guilt...
"So it means I can heal myself..."
[Accept this mission?]
After a brief hesitation, Matsuda Jinpei had already come up with a plan. He followed the System's prompt and pressed the confirmation button.
"No harm in trying."
Warning: Hagi is truly dark. Matsuda gets injured a lot. This is a fake System story, and the plot includes many personal headcanons. Any out-of-character moments are my fault.
HagiMatsu, but focused on Matsuda.
Slow-paced.
Theme: A good outcome is what matters. Don't worry about the process for now.
I'm not really sure how to best describe this chapter, but I really enjoyed your review of medicine. You compared this system to a parasite that devours the host's brain. This metaphor is interesting because although it is very vivid, the way it is expressed is shocking. It reminds me of those zombie parasites that turn insects into fearless zombies, because now our little ones are in a similar situation.
If you don't like the character, just delete it 🐶 The settings are really cool
[Changed][changed][changed] I think everyone is going crazy now. Because I'm going crazy too.
It feels like Ship of Theseus. . .
System rationalization is so fun
If you read something good, you will never forget it! Is this the K-type god? Sure enough, he lost his sanity.
Teacher, why is there no more behind? 😭 😭 😭 [Hold the thigh] [Hold the thigh] [Hold the thigh]
Looking forward to it, very delicious flavor, a bit chilly in it
