[Hiroki, the whole five-man squad dodges the death flags, complete]
After Matsuda dies, he gets bound to a System. To be permanently revived, he has to complete role-playing missions. A white cat tells him he'll gain a golden finger.
Matsuda looks up, half believing and half doubting, and his childhood friend's shirt vanishes into thin air. The criminal beside him recounts the details of his crime in his thoughts. He looks closer and spots a blond bastard and a man in black tangled up together dozens of meters away.
A kitchen killer becomes a master chef. A man with impeccable roots becomes a real deal in the liquor business. A paragon of righteousness becomes a bunny boy, a magician, a university professor in black-rimmed glasses, a security guard at an amusement park...
At first, the criminals and bystanders say, "You've got to be kidding! How could he possibly be xx?!"
Later, the criminals and bystanders believe it completely: "He really is a magician even better than Phantom Thief O, a Michelin five-star chef, a genius doctor..."
No matter how far the character concept veers into the absurd, everyone's wild imaginings always manage to pull it back.
System: [Matsuda is practically Superman, an absolutely superlative master of role-playing.]
When his fellow police officers ask questions, Matsuda hesitates before replying, "I'm not really at liberty to say."
His colleagues understand at once, and regard him with deep respect. They get it: it's an undercover mission.
Matsuda is a familiar sight throughout Beika Town, where crimes happen around the clock. The two agents still undercover start to worry: As fellow undercover agents, they think Matsuda is much too busy.
Until one day, Gin warns them: "He's an undercover agent the Organization planted in the police."
A certain undercover FBI agent: Isn't he an FBI mole?
A certain undercover CIA agent: Isn't he a CIA mole?
A certain blond woman with watered-down liquor for a codename: Isn't he Shinichi's distant relative?
Morofushi/Amuro: ?
The curly-haired police officer, completely unaware that he's been labeled a mole, yawns. Hagi's been acting really strange lately.

After maxing out his role-playing score for every character card, Matsuda knocks on the System. "That character concept you mentioned at the beginning, the hardest one. What was it, exactly?"
The System opens its back end and falls silent: [You've already completed it.]
In the System's back end, the character card named "Undercover Agent" shines with golden light: [Role-playing score exceeds the maximum! A record-breaking achievement! Congratulations on earning the title "Beacon of Undercover Agents." You truly deserve it!]
Matsuda: ?
Anyway, Matsuda completes the System's missions perfectly, and Saiki gets his coffee jelly tower as a reward.
Before leaving, Saiki visits Matsuda's house to thank his partner, only to walk in on the two of them kissing so passionately they can barely part: "..."
Matsuda pulls sunglasses from his breast pocket and puts them over Hagiwara's eyes. His lips are red: "All right, that's enough."

●
1. A lighthearted, delusion-fueled slice-of-life story, with no angst or melodrama. All five members of the squad survive, and Hiroki is alive.
2. Some timeline changes and original headcanons. The plot is heavily adapted. Other than the major events of the original Detective Conan storyline, most cases are made up by me. No nitpicking, and any OOC is on me.
3. Mainly Detective Conan, with little Saiki. There are no supernatural elements in the Conan world except for Matsuda. Matsuda will be put through role-playing scenarios such as cross-dressing.
4. Starts with brotherly affection, which slowly changes into something else.

The Paranoid Killer's Scientific Protection of the Amuros
[He doesn't know any Amuro, so he suspects they all are.]
After dying, rookie killer Xinggong Linkong, the top newcomer in his field, wakes up in Beika Town. A message from his boss pops up on his phone: [Go undercover in the Organization and protect Amuro.]
Xinggong deadpans, thinking to himself: If he doesn't complete the mission, his life will definitely be taken back. Good thing his specialty is striking first to eliminate suspicious people. Protecting someone should be easy...
Wait a second. Who's Amuro?!
This Hagiwara, Matsuda, Gin, Akai, Scotch, and Conan... They all seem like they might be Amuro. Whatever, he'll protect them all.
He suspects the criminal in a case is going to attack a police officer and hurt Matsuda, so he takes the criminal hostage first and invites Matsuda to join him in hijacking the prisoner transport.
He suspects Akai's target has set an ambush, so he blows up the rooftop sniper's nest with practiced ease, then joins Akai in posing as victims to ask a passing FBI agent for help.
He suspects Gin is about to get double-crossed by a rival, so he impersonates Gin's voice and calls the police in time, giving Gin the chance to enthusiastically solve the case and help the police catch the culprit.
Exhausted, Xinggong Linkong curls up in a beanbag chair, his cowlick drooping limply. "Why are there so many suspicious and dangerous people?" He had still underestimated Beika Town.
The "Amuros": ...Aren't you the most suspicious and dangerous one here?!
Later, they realize that every time Xinggong gets suspicious, he somehow ends up helping them immensely.
Later still, they realize that he's mistaken them for Amuro.
The "Amuros": "..."
The real Amuro, meeting his contact, watches his boss cheerfully ask him how his assistant is doing.
Amuro: ? Assistant?
[Bonus Scene]
Xinggong Linkong, utterly bewildered, is handcuffed. A man guides his hands against the wall, and he suddenly feels a straight man's crisis coming on. "Bourbon?"
The man's fingers force his apart, filling the spaces between them with his warmth.
Amuro Rei's gaze turns dark. His knee pushes Xinggong's legs apart, and the sensation travels from the blood vessels flowing beneath his skin, slowly reaching deep into his bones.
Amuro smiles for no apparent reason. "Xinggong Linkong, do you know what my real name is?"
P.S.
1. A comedic, delusion-fueled slice-of-life story. Everyone gets put through ridiculous situations. No supernatural elements, no angst or melodrama, and all five members of the squad survive.
2. Some timeline changes, jumps, and original headcanons.
Theme: The truth will always be found in the end.
Isn't the monitor's girlfriend named Natalie? [Question mark]
Zero should have known that Rai was an undercover agent. After all, he was pretending to be Kamel and staying with Akai.
If the affair between Ley and Scotland is exposed, Tennessee will have to be exposed as well [covering face, laughing and crying]
Hahahahaha let the prisoner help watch the prisoner
Matsuda doesn't know that he is an undercover agent sent by the organization to the police, so Ginjiu doesn't suspect him when he usually does these things, doesn't he find it strange [covering face and crying]
Hughes is Ren Karasuma, right?
Hahaha! Thanks for the limited fee [Come on]
Why is vodka so funny?
Oh my God, the price is sky-high. We can be saved.
