Did Senior Sister Feed Me Today?

After finally taking human form and sneaking into a sect, she just can’t resist her appetite. Every night, she turns back into a hedgehog and sneaks off to steal food from the sect’s wealthiest alchemy division. One night, a woman catches her. Yun Yu assumes she’s a new disciple. Impressed by the woman’s amazing cooking, Yun Yu pats her tiny paws against her chest and shares all her best tips for sneaking food. “Be my sidekick. I’ll look after you in the sect. If I’ve got food, you’ll have something to drink.” The woman smiles warmly and feeds her a fresh blueberry. “All right. Have some more.” * One night, Yun Yu arrives early at the spot where she and the woman agreed to sneak a bite, only to find her sitting in a chair, surrounded by a crowd of alchemists. Yun Yu’s heart sinks. Her sidekick got caught stealing food. She wants to run, but as she raises a paw, she remembers all the time they’ve spent together. Gritting her teeth, she bristles up and charges to the rescue. Instead, she rolls in the wrong direction. An alchemist picks her up by the prickles and holds her aloft. “Senior Sister Pei, it’s a silly little hedgehog.” The struggling hedgehog: Do I not deserve some dignity? Wait, Senior Sister Pei? Her food-stealing buddy? The Master Sister of the Alchemy Division, who’s obsessed with alchemy and rarely shows her face? After the disciples leave, Yun Yu finds herself cradled in Pei Yining’s palm. The woman speaks softly. “What should we eat tonight?” Yun Yu: “...” All you ever think about is food. * After learning who the woman really is, Yun Yu feels deeply deceived. She immediately draws a line between them and stops visiting her altogether. At least Pei Yining doesn’t know what she looks like as a human. When she hears that the Alchemy Division is hosting a banquet for the whole sect, Yun Yu can’t resist her appetite. She saunters in and is seated beside Pei Yining. She puts on a polite smile. “Hello, Senior Sister Pei.” Pei Yining is as gentle as ever. “Hello, Junior Sister Yun...” After unashamedly eating several skewers of grilled meat that Pei Yining hands her, Yun Yu contentedly narrows her eyes. Pei Yining smiles. “Is it good?” Yun Yu, in high spirits: “Delicious.” Pei Yining: “Then can I still be your sidekick?” Yun Yu: ?? Wasn’t she in human form? How did Pei Yining recognize her? Song Ling is a poor little squirrel. To make ends meet, she takes human form every day and works odd jobs in human cities. One day, on her way home from work, she finds a woman covered in blood. Thinking that saving a life is worth more than building a seven-story pagoda, she brings her back to her little home. She plans to send the woman away as soon as she wakes up, but the woman has lost her memory. Faced with her bewildered gaze, Song Ling has no choice but to take her in. Aside from clinging to Song Ling and having a rather high sex drive, the amnesiac woman is perfect in every way. Especially her face: cool and otherworldly, it leaves Song Ling so lovestruck she can’t think straight. All she wants is to work hard and earn enough to give the woman a better life. Song Ling thinks things will carry on like this until one day, she takes the money she’s been secretly saving to the Treasure Pavilion to have a jade pendant made as a surprise for the woman. There, she unexpectedly sees the woman being ushered inside with great deference. Someone at the Treasure Pavilion says, “That’s an honored guest. Make sure she’s treated well.” Seeing how different the woman is from the one she knows, Song Ling finally understands. The woman has been pretending to have amnesia all along. And that’s not all: she’s the secret owner of the biggest bank. The very place where Song Ling has been working odd jobs. Song Ling is devastated. “I work for you all day, then wait on you at night, and even hand over the money I earn. You’re exploiting me by moving money from one hand to the other. Are you even human?!” The woman’s icy expression softens at once. “Then from now on, you can look after all my money, and me too. How about that?” Song Ling: “Who wants you? I only want money!” The woman kisses her gently. “You really don’t want me?” Song Ling, unable to resist: “...I do.” Theme: Love is great.
