The Genius Reaper's Deductive Showdown

[Complete! OVO] New story: A Master Wants to Become the Eminence in Shadow Too, now updating! And the next story: Hagiwara Wants to Know Too Please check out my upcoming story, Our Organization Needs Someone Like You! QAQ~ My name is Watanabe Kari. I'm a shinigami by profession, but I prefer to call myself a wage slave. Going to work means popping into whatever shops and bars I pass to grab a few things (crossed out) and spend some money. Before I know it, the day is over. I slacked off so much that my boss packed me off to another world, one that gives most shinigami work-related PTSD. I can come back once I get the business up and running. How bad could it be? I thought as I signed my name on the transfer form. But my happy life of slacking off soon became difficult. People kept dying before the shinigami could even arrive, and my performance figures started flashing red across the board. I decided to find a way to get everyone to wait for me patiently. Thanks to my genius plan, I achieved a physically literal happy ending. Watanabe Kari's work log: Month One: Met a kind person who treated me to a meal. Month Two: Met two kind people who treated me to a meal. Month Three: It's all that damned detective's fault! Month Four: They treated me to a meal. Month Five: Told a kind person he was about to die. He ignored me. Month Six: The kind person believed me. A mentally frazzled Japanese police mole: “…Who could have seen that coming?” “Yeah, who could have seen that coming?” Watanabe Kari said. “Someone in this world has survived since the last century.” “Looks like I don't have to figure out how to take over the organization after all.” Reader notes: 1. My version of Conan's timeline. Inspired by a game that got a little boring toward the end. (Seriously!) 2. [Censored] (Very seriously!!) 3. OOC is unavoidable. (Extremely seriously!!!) 4. Please don't give me writing advice. Thank you. (Utterly seriously!!!!) Theme: Cherish life and take your work seriously.
