Opening a Hot Spring Inn at Honmaru [Western Crossover]

After an unknown number of years as a Saniwa, the war was over, and Shang En, like tens of millions of his colleagues who had survived, retired with honors. Before he had figured out what to do next, the government office, now focused on postwar restoration, invited him to come out of retirement once more. Money wasn’t important. The point was that he’d get another chance to save the world (clutching his salary card). So Shang En happily agreed. The work was incredibly easy, giving Shang En the perfect opportunity to enjoy a happy life lying around and still getting paid. He was planning to lie flat, too, until he turned around and saw his citadel. Surrounded by mountains, water, and hot springs, the sword warriors in his citadel, who no longer had to fight, gazed at him like a pack of hungry children (?). Shang En stopped halfway through lying down. “Well, in that case, let’s start a business.” Having found the chance to take up his childhood dream again, Shang En made a few plans and decided to open a hot spring inn. “Whether it makes money or not is secondary. What matters is enjoying life.” So said the Saniwa, owner of an entire mountain, a whole citadel full of handsome men, and a bank account with more digits than he could count at a glance. - Shang En brought home a child. I mean, there were already so many children in the citadel, so bringing home one more wouldn’t be too much. Besides, the other boy looked... like he really needed help. A fifteen-year-old, covered in mud, dazed and confused... Shang En couldn’t help thinking of his own past. Shang En had been lucky enough to be saved, but some scars never heal. They’re simply kept safe and protected so they won’t hurt again. “When you have nothing, any branch reaching out of the darkness looks like salvation.” Someone clearly disagreed, taking the words as a pointed remark. “I’d say that when you’re in the dark, you won’t miss any chance that might lead you into the light.” Like grabbing hold of that ray of light and embracing the whole sun. - “B is my mentor, my guide, my father. He saved me from the mire and gave me a new life. “Shang En is more complicated. He’s my friend, my family. He gives me acceptance and love, clarity and abandon. We’re so alike, yet so completely different... “We love each other, and we’ll love each other until death.” - This story will be available for purchase starting April 17. A 10,000-word update will be released then. Thank you for your support! Reading notes: 1. Jason pairing, main character is the top! Main character is the top! Main character is the top! A wish-fulfillment story. Logic is dead. 2. A mountain of personal headcanons and my own very chaotic timeline. Please don’t scrutinize it for accuracy. 3. Slice of life! The romance comes much later! Lots and lots of everyday moments! There’s barely any main plot, just feel-good daily life. The protagonist is really strong, and there are a lot of personal headcanons. The sweet-romance author is handing out sugar. 4. Though this is a danmei fanfic, there will be no non-canon pairings between other characters, and I won’t avoid the canon pairings from the original work. Therefore, this story may include canon BG, GB, BL, and even GL pairings (as well as descriptions of the related characters and relationships), and I can’t guarantee how much space they’ll take up. 5. By reading, you agree to these notes. Upcoming story “How to Spend Money on Superheroes, Step by Step [Western Crossover]” No pairing, pure wish fulfillment, billionaire protagonist. Blurb: What would you do if a System appeared and told you to spend money? Iloti Purcell declared without hesitation, “First, I’ll buy the God of Humanity in Metropolis!” - As a college-bound student who had just escaped the misery of the college entrance exams, Iloti never imagined she’d transmigrate. And she transmigrated to the dangerous Western Crossover world. :) Then she got bound to a System. The System introduced itself with perfect sincerity: “Hello, Host. I’m your billionaire System.” Iloti had no idea what “billionaire” meant. “What can you do? Secret identities? Superpowers? A game system?” System: “QAQ Sorry, I can’t do any of that.” Iloti: “Then what use are you?” System: “I’m very sorry QAQ. Other than providing the Host with financial support, I have no other functions.” Iloti: “...Financial support?” System: “That’s right. I’m a billionaire System. Whenever the Host spends money on superheroes, half of the amount will be returned to you as your personal savings.” Iloti, broke and poor: “...Tell me more.” - And so... The God of Humanity in Metropolis smashes up the harbor fighting a sea monster! Mysterious heiress: “Please let me offer the hero a little support!” The friendly neighborhood hero in New York once again damages the exterior of a building when rainwater mixes with leftover webbing and corrodes the walls! Mysterious heiress: “Please let me make a small contribution to this city!” Central City’s favorite hero accidentally leaves several holes in the main road while saving people! Mysterious heiress: “Please let me write a check for the person who saved my life!” Gotham... Oh, Gotham doesn’t need any help. (Cold stare.) A young CEO from Gotham is very curious about who this person is, since they’re always competing with his company. But one coincidence after another keeps them from meeting. Until he finally meets Iloti. CEO Drake, who works diligently, survives on black coffee, and challenges the limits of human endurance by how little he sleeps each week, looks at CEO Purcell, who slacks off every few days, keeps her thermos full of healthy tea, and sleeps until she wakes naturally... CEO Drake: Guess who’s about to quit today. :) Theme: Growth and hard work are the themes of life
