[My apologies, I'm bowing my head. I originally planned to start this story, but I've hit such a bad block that I'm putting it aside for now to think it over some more. I hope I can bring you something I'm happier with later.]
Lilith Addams is the eldest daughter of the Addams family, and a perfect Addams.
She lives happily with her family.
But even happiness can run into trouble now and then. They lose their home.
Looking at her despondent father and tearful, worried mother, then at her elderly grandmother and young siblings, she decides to find a job and help her family.
As it happens, the beautiful old mansion on the hill next to their home is hiring.
Lilith volunteers.
When the mansion's owner explains the job, Lilith is delighted.
“Oh! Your son is gorgeous!” she praises him sincerely. “I'm sure we'll be great friends!”
The elderly couple exchange strange looks at the pretty young woman saying this, but in the end, they leave all the same.
Lilith gets a job and is able to help her family.
Before long, the Addams family's troubles are resolved.
Faced with her family's worried, hopeful eyes, and the child she's supposed to care for, Lilith finds herself torn.
“Oh, Brahms, why can't you leave this place? Then I could bring you home to visit my family,” Lilith confides sadly.
That night, Lilith suddenly opens her eyes in her sleep and spots a figure.
“Brahms?” She blinks, then blinks again, her expression turning delighted. “It's really you!”
“You... will... never... leave... me.” Brahms leans closer, staring at Lilith with an obstinate gaze through his mask.
“...Is that a confession?”
The eldest daughter of the Addams family is getting ready to marry.
To appease her younger siblings, Lilith buys her sister a creepy antique doll and her brother a videotape that's supposed to be a lot of fun.
The Addams family goes scouting for a honeymoon destination and is delighted to discover a perfect cabin in the woods. They decide to visit several times every year from then on.
And when faced with an unknown creature crawling up from underground, Lilith smiles and pulls out from beneath her dress...
a chainsaw.
“This place really is perfect.”
“It's just like home!”
[Reader Advisory]
1. Pairing: Brahms. An elegant, physically formidable witch and a gloomy, shy, devoted puppy of a man.
2. The author is a real scaredy-cat, so this isn't scary at all!
3. There will definitely be OOC, so please don't scrutinize it.
4. The Addams family's characterization and setting combine elements from the 1964 TV series, the two live-action films, and the animated film. The main appeal is their wonderfully offbeat, unconventional style.
