Surviving a Month in Gotham on Five Dollars

[No little red flower because I never made it to 3,000 words in any chapter orz] First, your five dollars fall into a sewer. Then, you crawl into the sewer to look for the money and get chased by Killer Croc. So, to escape, you rob Black Mask’s armored car. Finally, you crash the car into Arkham, causing an explosion. Congratulations, you’ve won the right to live at Arkham, meals included. That’s the version I heard from a fellow inmate. At this moment, I’m sitting on top of Arkham’s high wall, listening to the Joker, whose head is covered in green hair, tell a much worse version: “You didn’t steal an armored car, Lena. You stole the Batmobile.” So, in a moment of dazed confusion, I grab the Joker, who’s already climbed over the wall, and tumble back inside with him, where I’m arrested again. The romance is in the extras. Pairing: Red Hood, though it might not be very obvious. A first-person story I wrote to kill time. Five dollars: a collection of outdated memes and dead jokes from the Chinese internet. I’ve now displayed the full extent of my self-awareness. Note: There may be various stereotypes and OOC characterizations. Read with caution, and I hope everyone finds a story they enjoy. Theme: Strive to live by your own convictions.
