In her previous life, Anahita Vera was a top-tier assassin, but she died unexpectedly while working all night.

In this life, she learned her lesson and decided to become a regular employee: leave on time and never work overtime.

She might have picked the wrong place to be born, though.

Anahita gloomily watched the thugs robbing a Gotham convenience store before nightfall and thought perhaps she'd picked the wrong place to work, too.

So she decided to find a safer, more reliable job with benefits and social insurance.

Which company in all of Gotham was the safest? After Googling it, Anahita confidently walked into the HR department at Wayne Enterprises.

Before long, she became an employee on call around the clock.

Anahita: ...I'm strong. Really.

The heroine's work philosophy is mostly: When the boss puts food on my plate, I spin the table; when the boss opens the door, I get in the car (crossed out). When the boss is in danger, I go rescue them; when the boss has a problem, I take the fall.

This story will be posted whenever inspiration strikes. Characters may be out of character, there will be author-created details, and the author has eaten the timeline, so it's a complete mess.

I'm new to writing, so the prose may not be great. Please don't flame me if it's not to your taste. Thanks.

Western Crossover, mainly Gotham, with a world that's a mishmash of everything. The heroine has a tiny bit of supernatural ability.

The love interest is the little red bird. It's just a love story between two office drones.

The main story is entirely boy-girl romance. The extras might reverse the pairing for a chapter or two.

# A reminder: Reading is a seasoning for life. If you're not enjoying it, please stop reading in time. Let's respect each other. "Bows"

# Please try not to mention other authors or their works in the comments here, and don't mention me in other people's comment sections either. Let's build a harmonious comments section together.

# The values of fictional characters do not represent the author's values.

If you asked Natsuka what she wanted to do for a living, she'd answer without hesitation: be a high school nurse.

And if she had to settle?

A high school librarian.

And if she had to settle even more?

Work as a librarian at the library donated by the Wayne family in Gotham, just like she does now.

No civil-service status, low pay, three days on and four days off, no insurance.

She spends her days slacking off and writing gossip columns to submit to magazines, and her evenings dancing at the Iceberg Lounge.

Every so often, she finds time to moonlight as Bruce Wayne's mistress and demand a cut from the tabloids.

She also has to write a few underground-world "SCI papers" now and then to stay on good terms with her sponsors.

Wondering where her patron went? Oh, he turned into 49 gold coins.

Shh, don't let anyone find out!

Just some fantasies about jobs from an author being tormented by her internship :)

# I don't know who the love interest is. She might very well marry her job :)

Theme: Workers should protect their interests appropriately
