[The sequel, [Western Crossover: Elementary Schoolers Are the Best!], is now open for advance follows. It picks up after the ending of this story. If you're interested, visit the author's page and add it to your collection!] After Mihua Town, nicknamed Little Gotham, welcomed the bespectacled elementary-school detective in a blue suit, another elementary-schooler arrived, one who would smile sweetly and say, "You're the culprit." * Akai Ria is seven years old. She spent the first seven years of her life in London, where life was just as perilous. She regularly saw a certain curly-haired consulting detective use his weight to take down her dear brother. Sometimes she helped out with bomb disposal, and occasionally she ruined everyone's ears with her violin. Life was never dull. Until one day, Ria was bundled off to Japan by her mother, without really knowing why. Her mother said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, that now that she was seven, she should meet her biological father. Dragging her suitcase, Ria stepped off the plane at Mihua International Airport, thoroughly displeased. Then she discovered that her father's phone number was disconnected. That irresponsible jerk! The poor little girl, only seven years old and all alone in an unfamiliar place, burst into tears in Mihua. Even as she cried, she managed to hand a would-be child kidnapper over to an undercover officer who was lying in wait. * A certain big star, who had flown back to help an FBI agent staying at her house with a disguise, spotted the little girl as soon as she got off the plane. It wasn't just because the girl, all alone, looked absolutely pitiful as she cried. It was also because of her striking features: dark lower eyeliner and emerald-green eyes, so much like those of a certain scarlet prosecutor she knew. She was just about to go over and find out what was going on when she witnessed the entire process of the girl sending the criminal to the police station. Then she heard the little girl proudly introduce herself to the police. "My name is Akai Ria, and I'm a detective." Yukiko: ...Why does that sound so familiar? Wait, what did that girl just say her name was??? * The scarlet prosecutor, who opened the door only to have a little girl who looked just like a shrunken, gender-swapped version of himself placed in his arms, was a little stunned. His remarkable deductive skills had already given him the answer, but he was still a little stunned. The little girl in his arms flashed him a sweet smile. "You're so handsome, big brother." The person in disguise as a cat: ... Still, it seemed like the age difference was a bit of a problem. "I don't want to look for my dad anymore," the little girl declared, putting her arms around his neck as if she had known him forever. "Can I live with you, handsome big brother?" The man: ...This is bad! Ria: Hmph. A fake face and a voice changer, and you opened your eyes just now. That lower eyeliner is exactly like mine. A clever little detective like me won't be fooled by tricks like that! * Also known as: I know who you are, but I'm going to keep pretending The Mihua criminals are doomed to run into a seven-year-old A diary of raising the beloved child of the good guys * For notes on reading this story, see the author's note in Chapter One~ * If you're interested, feel free to visit the author's page.
