I Went Viral After Livestreaming Cemetery Sales

Coming soon: My Livestream Stay at a Haunted House Made Me Famous. Please add it to your reading list! Synopsis: By graduation, some of Pu Li’s classmates had moved on to graduate school, while others had landed job offers. Only Pu Li chose to go home and inherit what his grandfather had left him: three thousand burial plots. Before he left, his grandfather told him he had to sell them all. Nowadays, people preferred burials at sea, tree burials, or storing ashes. Who would buy a burial plot that cost tens of thousands? With the plots failing to sell, Pu Li started a livestream shop. But instead of singing and shouting out sales pitches, he livestreamed feng shui readings. “Is your new home’s feng shui any good? You’ve got a piercing evil influence that’s draining your fortune and longevity. The elders in your family won’t live much longer. Hurry and book a double plot so you can give them a dignified resting place.” “Is your ancestral grave in a good spot? Your grandpa’s bones haven’t seen the sun, and they’re practically getting moldy. I’ve got a sunny plot available. Want it at twenty percent off?” “Do we have plots for pets? We do, but your pet will probably outlive your second kid’s college years. Maybe you should book a plot for yourself first. Your husband’s been hoping you’ll ‘accidentally’ die for a long time.” The livestream became famous for all the wrong reasons: [Do people selling burial plots have scripts now?] [Burial plots cost more than houses. The streamer should quit scamming people.] [The streamer’s acting is pretty good. He delivered all those lines without laughing once.] But before long, people were asking, “Mom, why are you watching the livestream on your knees?” “The old man in our family passed away that very night. We’re so grateful the streamer helped us take care of everything after his death. Our whole family will always remember his kindness.” “I listened to the master and moved Grandpa’s grave. That very night, he appeared in my dream and told me his new house was huge and spacious. He could even marry a few more wives and still have plenty of room!” “Waaah, I checked my husband’s dashcam footage, and he really was plotting to kill me! That good-for-nothing freeloader has already been thrown out with nothing!” Netizens: [I went to check it out in person. The streamer’s cemetery is shaded by lush trees and has lovely views. It’s actually not that expensive!] [Streamer, can longtime fans get an extra discount?] [Streamer, do you have a family bundle? I’ll take plots for three generations of my family. We’re family, so we should all stay together!] The livestream took off! Besides selling burial plots and doing feng shui readings on livestream, Pu Li also ran a funeral home. He helped organize funerals and did makeup for the deceased on the side. Pu Li’s everyday routine was to drive a hearse to the hospital during the day to collect bodies, then spend the evenings stitching them up. Now and then, he’d also answer questions from the ghosts hovering around him. One day, while Pu Li was helping a customer, he got a call from home. “Dear, where’s my head?” Pu Li: “Oh, the funeral home ran out of chairs, so I brought it over to sit on.” [Please note] 1. Tell me your story.” This month, the Haishi Public Security Bureau received a flood of reports. “The couple in the rental didn’t kill themselves. They were murdered. How did you learn so much?” Gu Chengzhi clicked his tongue. “Is that any way to talk to your sister-in-law?” Xi Yu, drinking tea made by the young detective and eating snacks offered by the officers: “...?” Weren’t we supposed to keep this a secret? The people eavesdropping outside the interrogation room: “...” When did they get together?! Everyone knew Captain Gu of the Haishi Criminal Investigation Division was cold, stern, and indifferent.
