[Western Crossover] She's a Little Underhanded

Pari has a nemesis. The new boy from the Wayne family who just transferred into her class. She hates him, though not entirely because he’s the son of Gotham’s richest man or because his handsome face always wears an expression of supreme arrogance. It’s because he took the top spot in their grade on his very first day. In literature class, she got full marks on her essay, but his was so moving that the teacher had tears in their eyes by the time they finished reading it. In gym class, she beat the average number of sit-ups for girls, but he could hold a one-finger handstand for half an hour. In history class, she stayed up all night memorizing the entire textbook, while he simply took the whole class to see the original artifacts in person. Worst of all, every time he passed by her, he would casually toss out: “Not bad.” …Pari ground her teeth in frustration. She decided to fight back. If she couldn’t beat him with talent or money, then she’d make him fall behind! She swore to show the young master just how underhanded a little nobody could be! And so. She started chatting with him every day, making sure he had no time to study. She stuffed him full of homemade desserts, sabotaging his weight management. She invited him to play online games late into the night, while keeping an eye out for any sneaky studying. In short, not a single second of the young master’s life was to be spent studying! The young master was always so cold and hard to approach, but with her thick skin and boundless enthusiasm, Pari eventually melted his hard exterior. Before long, he was hopelessly hooked on her sugar-coated attacks. And yet, half a semester later, her name was still firmly below his on the rankings. Pari collapsed in defeat and gave up on her plan. She stopped talking to him and stopped replying to his texts. She needed to get as far away as possible from this unbeatable rival. Then, on the next week’s test, he got a failing grade for the first time ever. Pari was overjoyed. She was just about to gloat to him when she suddenly saw his expression. She froze. Because the usually proud young master had his eyes downcast, looking as if… he was really sad? * In the Batcave. Dick, watching his restless little brother light up his phone screen for the umpteenth time before locking it again: “Why has Damian been staring at his phone so much these past couple of days? Has he finally reached the phase where he’s obsessed with electronics?” Tim, a teenager who really is obsessed with electronics, doesn’t even look up as his fingers fly over the keyboard: “Oh, it’s nothing. His little girlfriend just stopped talking to him.” Dick, trembling: “…His what?” “Little girlfriend. Yes, you heard me right. He’s been texting her all semester, but now she’s ignoring him.” Tim finally turns around, a smile on his face that makes no attempt to hide his glee. “And he clearly cares. A lot.” Pairing: Damian. The romance is a slow burn, and Damian is very OOC. If you aren’t enjoying it, please stop reading. I can’t be held responsible for damage to your eyes. A Western Crossover with Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
