Chocolate That Lines Up

Bernadette was struggling with post-menopausal fatigue, sleeplessness, and weight gain. Every afternoon, she relied on a chocolate bar to get through her drowsiness, yet she often woke at four in the morning. By chance, she learned about a way to manage her blood sugar and decided to try changing her routine. At lunch, instead of eating her sandwich as a whole, she ate the vegetables first, then the tuna, and finally the bread. Nine days later, she was amazed to find she had lost 2.3 kilograms. She no longer needed an afternoon nap, and her sleep had returned to normal. At last, she understood that managing blood sugar wasn't dieting, but putting life back in the right order: take care of yourself first, then embrace the world.
