The Little Mushroom Room

It started to rain, and a little ant was the first to run beneath a mushroom for shelter. The rain grew heavier, and a puppy, a kitten, a little bear, a little otter, and a little rabbit arrived one after another. Each time, the little wolf squeezed over to make room. At last, the rabbit came running for help to escape a fox that was chasing it, and everyone huddled close together to hide the rabbit. The fox came by and sniffed around, but pretended not to have noticed a thing. When the rain stopped and the sun came out, the little wolf was amazed to discover that the mushroom, which had seemed cramped at first, could fit all five friends. It turned out that the mushroom had quietly grown in the rain. There is always more room for love, no matter how crowded it gets.
