The Town's Weights and Measures

Old Li was the last handmade measuring craftsman in town. His workshop was filled with measuring tools collected by three generations of his family, from levels, plumb lines, compasses, and squares to vernier calipers and micrometers. When modern engineers came to him with a complicated part, their electronic equipment couldn't measure it accurately, but Old Li used his family's micrometer to give a precise measurement of 0.01 millimeters. At last, his son Xiao Ming understood that true craftsmanship wasn't about whether the tools were new or old, but about dedication to detail. He decided to carry on the family trade, blending traditional craft with modern technology and bringing measurement back to its essence. Every turn of the micrometer was a conversation between a heartbeat and precision.
