Upcoming: After Losing My Memory, I Became a Little Widower Raising a Child
Updated daily. If an update is delayed, I’ll post a notice. Updates go live after noon.
The base fell. An Qingyu, a reclusive social phobe with weak powers, was shoved into a tide of corpses while fleeing. When he woke, all he saw was a desolate wasteland, with yellow sand filling the sky. It wasn’t much better than the apocalypse.
He paused, then raised a hand and clutched his own throat.
A heart-wrenching plea rang out in his head: “Brave warrior! Spare my neck! Please, I’ll do anything…”
The voice, which claimed to be a System, said he could live as long as he completed a mission.
An Qingyu: “All I know how to do is plant trees.”
The System sounded even more humble. “That’s a perfect fit for the job, but my shop only has grass seeds right now. Could you, uh, lower your standards and grow grass instead?”
An Qingyu understood. So the System was just as useless as he was.

With nothing to his name, An Qingyu settled on a barren planet.
The gaunt, sickly-looking locals all kept little animals. When they saw that he had none, they urged him to sell everything he owned and grit his teeth to get one.
An Qingyu didn’t understand, but he respected their customs and did as they said. The problem was that he had no money. One day, while picking mushrooms, he ran into a stray kitten with a terrible temper.
He summoned his courage and kidnapped it.
On his first day of planting, An Qingyu bought a bag of grass seeds from the System’s shop and grew a patch of fluffy foxtail grass.
The bad news: humans couldn’t eat it.
The good news: little animals loved it and gobbled it up like crazy.
Cat grass, dog grass, tiger grass, rabbit grass, and grass in all kinds of animal forms. Without saying a word, An Qingyu forged a whole new path to fortune: becoming a supplier of animal grass, with products selling across the stars.
As his grass-growing business flourished, the socially anxious An Qingyu received repeated invitations from the planetary governor and finally agreed to move from the barren planet to the capital planet.
One day, after witnessing an adorable rabbit transform into a rabbit-toothed boy, An Qingyu was deeply shaken. The little animals in this world could turn into people.
He pushed open the door, on edge, only to find the cat gone. In its place stood a handsome, sharp-featured hunk wearing a tiny floral apron, demanding, “Why are you home so late?”
An Qingyu looked at the table laden with delicious food, swallowed, then stole a glance at the man beside him, whose figure was like that of a top male model. Trembling, he asked, “Did you make all this?”
The hunk scowled. “Who else would you expect?”
An Qingyu hugged his bowl and shook his head furiously. He couldn’t believe his kitten was secretly a magical snail prince.

Yan Mingshu was a member of the Beast-Healer Divine Clan, but his powers were so great that he couldn’t find a compatible human partner and return to his first form.
He had always been indifferent by nature, so he decided to remain alone, wandering and adventuring in his beast form across barren planets riddled with danger. Then one day, a bold human caught him in a sack…
A slow-witted, almost robotic little social phobe × a tsundere, jealous hunk
Bonus scene: The origin of the magical snail prince
On the first day he was kidnapped, An Qingyu was gnawing on raw mushrooms.
The cat was stunned. “Is he a wild man or something?”
On the nth day of his captivity, An Qingyu was eating boiled mushrooms, burnt grilled mushrooms, boiled burnt mushrooms, grass…
His feline hostage couldn’t take it anymore. Before he had even turned human, he learned to stir-fry using his cat paws.
When his little kidnapper found out, he hugged him in terror and cried, “Kitty, someone broke into our house and started cooking!” Then, despite his anxiety, he ate every last bite with heartfelt gratitude.

Blurb:
Lin Shi woke up in a cramped, rundown room with no memories. A chubby little toddler squatted beside the bed, sucking on a finger and gazing at him with sparkling eyes, calling him Little Daddy.
A huge black-and-white photograph hung on the yellowed wall. It showed an exceptionally handsome man smiling warmly. The toddler said he was Big Daddy, Lin Shi’s husband, who had died two months ago.
From the memoirs of his late husband, their marriage certificate, family photos, chat logs, and all sorts of other evidence, Lin Shi concluded that before losing his memory, he had been head over heels in love with his dead husband.
Looking at the adorable child before him, Lin Shi quickly accepted his new identity as a down-and-out young widower.
There was just something a little strange about this world.
The creditor who came knocking during the day to demand payment had already gotten his money, but that night, his whole face would be pressed against Lin Shi’s window, saying something about how delicious he smelled and how badly they wanted to eat him.
The vicious, wealthy relatives who had come to kick him while he was down were furious enough to turn green, then returned at night, blushing as they asked if they could sleep under his bed.
Most importantly, the face in his late husband’s portrait changed every day.

Deep in debt, Lin Shi insisted on cooking every day to save money.
The child, who was getting thinner by the day, clung to Lin Shi’s leg and begged, “Little Daddy, I’m not a piggy. I want human food!”
Lin Shi poured every ingredient into the pot without batting an eye.
He calmly told the toddler, “This is human food.”
The child hesitated. “Daddy, actually, I’m not human.”
*
One day, Lin Shi accidentally wandered into a strange place.
There he saw his dead husband and the child who should have been fast asleep at home…
The man was soothing the child as he gobbled down a huge, writhing mass of black tentacles. The little one had black goo all over his face and hands. When he saw Lin Shi, he panicked and slurped it down in one gulp, then curled into a ball and picked at his fingers without daring to speak.
The father and child stared at him anxiously.
Lin Shi said coolly, “Did you wash your hands?”
“No.”
Lin Shi: “Remember next time. If you eat with dirty hands, you’ll get a stomachache.”
After Lin Shi went to find water to wash the toddler’s face and hands…
Father and son exchanged a smile. Thank goodness. He’d only scolded them, not abandoned them.
The toddler tugged on the man’s clothes. “I want more.”
Wen Qingzhuo raised an eyebrow. “Doesn’t he usually feed you?”
The child whispered, “This tastes better than Little Daddy’s cooking.”
Theme: Plant flowers, plant grass, grow all things. Building an oasis is everyone’s responsibility: humans, cats, dogs, rabbits, bears, and foxes.
