Even if Lofis was a deranged, sadistic little bastard who betrayed everyone, cared for no one, and earned the hatred of both gods and men, Michael was still willing to be his friend.

The current Lord of the Red Sea and Vampire Emperor, Lofis, objected.

"Look at all the things you've done! Check your conscience! What right do you have to call me that?!"

Michael, now the Deputy Ruler of Heaven, was perfectly calm.

"Who's calling you anything? I'm praising you! I've admitted that we're two of a kind, partners in crime, cut from the same cloth, and that you're the other half of my soul. Isn't that enough?"

Lofis: "...Fine. I do quite like that part about 'the other half of my soul...'"

Notes:

1. Two playboys, but a devoted-love pairing. Whether their feelings count as love is another question.

2. A story about two lunatics falling in love. Neither of them is normal, but they really are in love.

3. The male lead was a god in his previous life and is a vampire in this one. In his past life, he truly only wanted to protect Michael, and died for him. But it's also true that in this life, he doesn't act like a decent person.

4. A companion story set in the same world and timeline as I'm Dating the Deputy Ruler.
