When Messiah first met Michael, he was not yet called Messiah, nor was he the Son of God spoken of in Heaven.
He was merely a lowly, weak human, trapped in the Garden of Eden.
Perhaps one more thing could be added.
A foolish, wishful dream.
From the very first glance, he fell in love with the guardian of Eden, the angel with saffron-colored hair, azure eyes, and six pairs of golden wings.
But in the angel's eyes, he probably wasn't even a normal living creature, at most a new toy created by God.
So when God offered him a deal, promising to make him the Son of God once the task was complete, he agreed without hesitation.
Even if it meant betraying every scrap of his conscience and staining his pure soul with sin, he would do it.
Michael felt no affection for Heaven's Son of God, a former human turned angel, especially since he wore the exact same face as Michael's sworn enemy and former lover.
The only two things he found appealing about him were that he hated Lucifer just as much as Michael did, and that he always obeyed Michael without question.
Every angel said that Messiah was Michael's stand-in for the Lord of Hell, whom he kept by his side. Michael neither confirmed nor denied it.
Perhaps even he could not say how much he truly felt for Messiah, or how much love and resentment he still held for the dark king far beneath the seven levels of Hell.
Messiah had always thought that as long as Michael could see him, that would be enough.
But he had forgotten that greed was the nature of every living thing.
He wanted Michael to see him, and more than that, he wanted to be the only one in Michael's eyes.
Even with three hundred thousand years separating him from another angel, Messiah never backed down.
After all, what has passed can never return, and he was the only one who could seize the present.
[Mini-scene]
God promised to grant Messiah two wishes.
Messiah said he wanted a status equal to that of the seven archangels.
So God made him the Son of God in Heaven.
Messiah said he wanted to win Michael's love.
But God told him that love was an intangible thing to begin with, so how could it be won?
"Then, Father God..."
His sky-clear eyes gazed at the all-powerful being who had given him everything.
"I ask you to grant me everything that the fallen Morning Star once possessed."
If Michael didn't love him, then Messiah would become the kind of person Michael could love.
Gentle, jade-like Son of God Messiah x yandere, scheming Prince Regent Michael
Notes:
1. The main pairing is Messiah x Michael, with Lucifer and Michael as former lovers.
3. The ending is one-on-one, but I can't promise which one will end up on top (!)
