A Few Things Between Me and My Senior Yaku

[Complete!] [This story will be entering VIP serialization on March 24, starting from Chapter 24. Thank you for your support!] My name is Xiaodaoyou Hui. I'm a first-year student at Nekoma High, a social phobic, and I like taking photos and playing guitar... That's about it. Anyway, I always thought that after stubbornly joining the Go-Home Club in my first year of high school, despite the other clubs trying to recruit me, I would spend my three years of high school being ignored by everyone, just like in middle school. That was until one rainy day, when I accidentally met a pair of brown eyes. Everything changed. # Standing on the gym floor assigned to the school's volleyball club, I held a notebook in one hand and a camera in the other. While doing my manager duties, I pointed my camera at the boys playing volleyball. The owner of those light brown eyes had just dived to save a ball. He noticed the camera and glanced over quickly before returning to the 3v3 practice. I pressed the shutter without thinking. After practice, he came over to the sideline for a drink. Turning to me, he said with a smile, "So, volleyball's pretty fun, right?" "...Yeah." Under his surprised gaze, I looked away to avoid his eyes and smiled faintly. "It is pretty fun." Beneath the screen I quietly turned off were the eyes that had glanced my way: clear and bright, their brown irises reflecting flecks of light. Just like those eyes beneath the rainy sky when we first met. Volleyball is really interesting... but no matter what, you're still the best. Yaku-senpai. The pairing is obviously Nekoma's guardian deity, thumbs up. [Revisions are progressing slowly, so there may be some continuity issues, shifts in style, or inconsistencies with the comments. I'm very sorry.] [Before You Read] ○ Apologies for OOC. ○ One-sided 1v1 romance throughout; everything else is platonic. ○ First-person POV, very slow burn. ○ The main plot follows the original.
