After Pudding Head advanced to his second year, Nekoma High School finally got a full-time manager, a transfer student who was also a second-year. The new manager was good-looking, smart, nice, and quick to learn. Apart from disappointing those who wanted a pretty girl as manager, he was practically perfect in every way. For some reason, he seemed to know Nekoma's captain and brains unusually well. For a while, people thought he was some sort of fanboy who had come out of nowhere. Then one day, they found what was supposedly a childhood photo of the new manager. Pudding Head thought it looked familiar, and his childhood friend was horrified. "Is this your little sister?" Nekoma's captain held up the photo and shoved it in front of the new manager. The new manager remained calm. "That's me." "Aren't you a guy?" "I was sickly as a child, so I was raised as a girl." "Didn't you used to be called Little Flower?" "A humble name helps you grow up healthy." That wasn't all. They also found out that the so-called manager could spike so hard the entire gym shook. "You can play volleyball too? Then why did you apply to be manager?" "Well, aren't you short on managers?" At some point, a legend about Nekoma's manager began to circulate among the Tokyo schools. They said he was a perfect, all-around manager off the court, but on the court he could spike so hard the ball flew like a brick. One day, a libero who had received so many spikes that his hands were broken finally couldn't hold back and called across the net: "Why don't you play as a regular?" The boy who had just mercilessly spiked the ball answered seriously: "I had surgery, so I can't do strenuous exercise for long periods." Reader's Note: 1. The protagonist is atypically sickly. He was ill in the past and recovered after surgery, but can't do strenuous exercise for long periods. 2. A lighthearted wish-fulfillment story. The protagonist can pick up anything quickly. The answer is that he's both a genius and hardworking, with talent and a workaholic streak. 3. No romance. There are no main or side couples, just platonic relationships. Until I was eighteen, I lived like a normal person. After I turned eighteen, I had to inherit a mysterious shop and become an immortal, ageless, unscrupulous shopkeeper, living apart from the world until the day the shop vanished. To avoid regrets, I drew up a plan for my life before I turned eighteen. One item was to fall in love once, but deep down, I thought that goal was probably impossible. After all, making someone unknowingly fall into a romance that was doomed from the start felt pretty cruel. My future job may be that of an unscrupulous shopkeeper, but I'm not cruel. Perhaps Heaven thought it would be too pitiful for me to grow old alone. In my second year of middle school, I met someone like me at school, someone just as unusual and detached from the world as I was: Geto-kun. He fell in love with me, and I helped him find others like him and kept him safe all his life. I thought it was a fair deal for both of us. But I never imagined that my last and only boyfriend would dump me before I could tell him the truth. After we broke up, he even tried to kill me! Of course, I didn't die. But he did. In the first year of their relationship, after a brief honeymoon period, Geto-kun transferred to Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High School. They only saw each other twice during the holidays. In the second year of their relationship, Juro skipped school with his boyfriend and watched the summer fireworks among the crowd. That was when he first met Geto-kun's classmates. In the third year of their relationship, they only contacted each other once a month. They broke up. Three days after their breakup, Juro opened his front door and found his long-lost ex-boyfriend there. He wanted to kill him. Ten years after the breakup, his ex-boyfriend died. Juro looked at the spirit that had suddenly appeared outside the shop and calmly asked, "What regrets do you have? I'll take care of them, then send you off to reincarnate." The boyfriend of a certain black-sesame-filled fox is a magician. He owns a wish-granting shop that can fulfill the desires of any being, but the fox has never known about it. Until after he died, when for some reason he didn't vanish from the world or enter the afterlife, but instead appeared in front of a shop. His ex-boyfriend, whom he had treated coldly, dumped, and nearly killed, leaned against the door and quietly watched him, just as he had the first time they met after their breakup. Back then, he had said, "Are you going to kill me?" Now he said, "What regrets do you have? I'll take care of them, then send you off to reincarnate." The black-sesame-filled fox suddenly felt it was time to learn how to dig a hole and hide in it. Reader's Guide: 1. Happy ending, a little angst, no groveling ex, but they do get back together (the mirror may or may not be broken). 2. The protagonist's abilities and the shop are inspired by xxxHOLiC. You don't need to have read it to enjoy this story. The general plot is that Juro and the spirit of his ex-boyfriend, Geto-kun, serve customers and, along the way, reform the jujutsu world. 3.
