The Black Cat Childhood Friend Always Wants to Win Me Over

1. My name is Sato Meone. I’m a melon (crossed out) poker-faced girl with several useless sporty childhood friends. The volleyball-playing twins love showing off and force me to cheer them on during their matches. The Kansai wolf who plays tennis tricked me into thinking the manager was just a mascot. By the time I finished middle school, I’d somehow gained four years of experience in just three years, and nearly got taken out by a ball. My whole worldview was turned upside down. When I started high school, I decided to stay far, far, far away from those useless childhood friends, so I went to Nekoma to join my two cat-like childhood friends. I didn’t expect my shyest, most socially anxious calico friend to sign me up as the volleyball team manager. Excuse me? But I still have one very, very, very best childhood friend. He’s the volleyball club captain now, so I can do whatever I want around the club. He always has my back, no matter what happens, and even secretly buys me bubble tea. I’m perfectly happy to enjoy all this. After all, he likes me more than anyone else in the world. I asked him to be my boyfriend, and he said yes. And of course, I like him more than anyone in the world, too. 2. Kozume Kenma has two childhood friends. The black cat told him a huge lie when they were kids and got him to become a setter, while the pink cat stood by and encouraged him, making things even worse. That alone would have been bad enough. But one day, Kenma caught the two of them kissing and realized they’d been secretly dating behind his back. Kenma: Clown.jpg “Weren’t we the best trio? When did you two start dating?!” “Wait, when you two get married, am I a guest of the bride or the groom?!” After they started high school, Kenma said nothing. He signed the pink cat up as the volleyball team manager and the black cat up for JKDK Charge Ahead. Just when he thought he’d finally gotten his revenge, he saw his two childhood friends make a heart together on the show. “Do you two have to show off your relationship every second of every day?!” A childhood-friend what-if story with Melon and Kuroo, mostly everyday life and a sweet 1v1 romance. All the other people crushing on the heroine are scouts from strong schools, and their relationships are purely platonic! Kenma? Kenma suddenly disappeared (no, he didn’t).
