And So We Started Playing Volleyball!

I guess every sports club has someone like that: quiet and unremarkable, with no achievements to be proud of and no knack for making friends. Even though he's in the club, he's practically invisible. He could show up late or leave early once or twice, and nobody would notice. Then one day, I got bound to a System... My System: [Let's go, Asahina-kun!! Since you've joined the volleyball club, show everyone what you can do!!] [You're the Super High School Level volleyball player I've been searching for all this time!! Let's go, let's go!] [No... I refuse.] [I refuse.] Anyway, that's how it happened. The overexcited System got carried away and bound itself to me. It said it would turn me into a super volleyball star, but it doesn't even know what kind of person I am. How could I possibly play volleyball?! [Th-then what if I reward you with a few games?!] The System opened its enormous game library. [...Fine.] ...I can't resist games of any kind. And so I started spending my days in the volleyball club, quietly grinding for experience. [Enter the gym: Energy +10] [Take part in practice: Energy +20] [Clean the court: Energy +5] All I have to do is complete these insignificant tasks to earn experience, then trade it for the games I like. With a little skill on top, I can empty the System's game library before graduation without any trouble. But my perfect plan came to an abrupt end when I accidentally spiked a flying volleyball into the captain's head. Someone usually so talkative went silent when he saw me. Am I going to get killed? “Oh!” To my surprise, the next thing he said was, “You're Asahina, the new guy who joined our volleyball club!” Another boy standing beside him turned to look at me, his long, narrow golden pupils fixed intently on me. ...I'm doomed. Something worse than getting killed had happened. [You've caught the captain's attention. Experience +1,000!] - I don't want this kind of attention!!! - “Why does Nekoma always make such a big deal about introducing that Asahina guy as their setter? Sure, a perfect set makes for the best attack, but anyone who can receive the ball can set it, right? He's not irreplaceable or anything...” “Exactly... I'm not irreplaceable... I'm not irreplaceable...” “, Don't glare at the ball like that while saying you want to quit the club!!!” - Asahina Fuyutani is definitely the least motivated player the volleyball club has ever seen. Whenever anyone spots him, his eyes are drooping, and he looks like he could never quite wake up. And yet this very same guy is known on the court as the server's worst nightmare. Every ball that flies his way gets swallowed up. “Seeing him stare at the ball like that makes me feel sorry for it., In-team Cat Speak” - Theme: Face hardships without fear and forge ahead bravely
